And the gubment makes it worse. Everything they put their hand in makes it more unaffordable for everyone. From getting an education, owning a home, having transportation, putting food on the table, and everything else they literally ruin everything they attempt to improve which is usually only for the worthless.

We apparently have, and we've also raised a few generations of speculators who dabble in everything from normal commodities to buying up housing and property to drive prices that the fiscal morons have to face. I'm not sure which is worse - could be it's us for failing to stop either those who drive outrageous prices or those who will pay them.

Don't bet against biden and the dems making it work. It doesn't matter who was way ahead early in the race; it's all about who is ahead at the end ... the tortoise and the hare. Dems have routinely outfoxed republicans when it comes to getting votes - legally or otherwise, and often it's the GOP that just plain screws it up ... even if they aren't wrong, the timing can be. For starters, remember the SC gave the GOP a lightning rod to play with, and they ran out into the storm with it. Then the dems are doing last minute giveaway deals to buy votes - it works because they hold the house and have the tie vote in the senate. They are making hay with "scandals" - aided and abetted by the DC swamp. Unless things flip, this is looking a lot like a change of momentum and a game slipping away.

banking doesn't work if you don't limit defaults and earn a return on the principle loaned. that is the right thing.

making banks give bad loans is the wrong thing (see 2008).

I think the next step is the government watching people's bank balance to see who they can take from.

People may start going back to the safe deposit boxes and safes.
