Excuse me, I forgot you know more about coaching the game than Pearl. I won't make that mistake again. LOL

:birgits_giggle::birgits_giggle:You got that right!! There are a few BB EXPERTS on this board that never stepped on the court. You need to know something else about many of them, they are PERFECT, never crossed the line in their personal life nor their profession. That is, if they have a profession. Don't waste your time debating your opinion, because YOU are wrong. Remember, you can't argue with a GENIUS. Unfortunately, there are those that will always think the worst of people and never take the time to ENCOURAGE rather than DISCOURAGE.

Hypocrite much while calling others hypocrites?

Everyone who is mocking him is in the wrong.

Bruce is staying in Knoxville, his wife is from here and is very happy here.

For those who are Christians on this board, pray that God will use this time and Bruce's mistakes to bring him to a place where he receives the grace that is offered freely.

For those who are not Christians, understand that he went down to serve with some friends who serve there and that no one did it for the publicity.

Steve Lavin was out of basketball by choice for 7 years. He could have gotten back in after 3. I believe that Bruce Pearl will be in broadcasting for 2 or 3 years, will not take an NBA job, will attend camps and tournaments and befriend 8th, 9th and 10th grade all stars who he will bring with him to his new job.

Who's going to give Bruce a job in the NBA?

There just aren't any rah-rah style positions at the next level. He's beat suited to to rebuild job that needs marketing and an up tempo game to bring excitement.

This was the your post I responded to, bpv. You said Pearl's style is up-tempo.

No I didn't. I said that a place in need of marketing, cheerleading and a fast paced brand to fire up the crowd is best suited for him. There isn't any of that in the NBA.

Understood. I read too much in to your post. It happens sometimes.

There's actually a part of me that would love to see Pearl try and work some of his Harry High School rah rah motivational magic on a Zach Randolph or a Deron Williams.

And let's face it, it's the only way Steven's gettin' drafted.

It's a damn good thing we have basketball and business expert on board such as yourself to keep us all updated on things of sports and business import.

How do you know that? Proof.

Can't speak for him, but I actually am convinced now that it wasn't PR at all. I spoke from ignorance earlier after reading some other poster's experiences with his charity work. I was wrong in how I perceived it and after thinking about it, it really doesn't matter what his motives are if people were helped.
