The fallacy in your point of view is the existence of institutional racism. If it exists (and I certainly believe it does) it makes little sense to use the decision of the institution to determine there is no racism. If its rotten within then its hard to convince people that have been negatively affected by that institution to be satisfied with the result. That is why there are protests and some rioting. What we should do as white people is to understand the issues, acknowledge there is legitimate compliant and do what we can to make the law impact everyone equal. I can tell you that if what happened to Breanna Taylor happened to my daughter or son, I would not rest until all police officers were charged with some type of reckless homicide. I don't believe that it was intentional, but I do believe it was a criminal act. If that happened to a prominent white person, I don't have any doubt there would be multiple officers charged. That is the compliant that I have.
