So the black Ag and the grand jury are covering for the cops ? Interesting

Herein lies the problem, you ignored everything in the post and relied on the Attorney General (who didn't make the decision) being black. You actually made the exact point, I was making. You ignored the feelings of everyone else involved. The black citizens of Louisville, the family of Breanna Taylor and the multitude of black victims of racial injustice, profiling and brutality. Just open your eyes and recognize that a significant part of American citizens are hurting and that is why they are protesting and even rioting. Rather than ignoring it and believing racism doesn't exist at least acknowledge it. If you are not fixing the problem you are allowing it to continue. If this was your family I feel pretty certain you would want the police officers arrested and wouldn't be satisfied if the Black Attorney General told you to bug off.

Then people need to pick their protests based on actual victims and actual facts.

Vote for better state and local officials. They are the ones not changing the laws and procedures.

You whole point was systemic racism , I’m asking if you think a black ( liberal ) AG and what we can only assume was a mixture of men , women , whites and minorities on a grand jury covered for the cops and it was just another sign of that systemic racism .

If you think the nba is not losing money, you are insane...

Well they are losing money.... it's because fans aren't in attendance. Show me some empirical evidence that it is related to the social justice issues. I'll be waiting here in bated breath.

Well its not really your decision to determine what constitutes a "rightful protest" this is America the land of the free and home of freedom of expression.
It is if you want support for the cause (which is necessary to enact meaningful changes). If you're marching because a kid got shot trying to take a gun from a cop then it's worthless and tone deaf. The numbers simply don't match the narrative being pushed

The key phrase is "right off the people peaceably to assemble" which is always supported. What's currently happening does not seem to match

There's a lot of feisty in this thread. Us old dogs of the PF don't come close to what yall bring.

I am a little disappointed. Attention politics forum veterans: this is what our forum could be if we just give a bit more effort.

Geez, I mean I can tell your stubborn and don't like counterpoints. But your point was that a black man who happens to be the Attorney General has absolute power to declare there is no such thing as institutional racism. It's like saying Donald Trump is not a racist because Hershel Walker said he wasn't. (I hope that was not your post because that was monumentally stupid). The point is..... read this very carefully........ that a large portion of our Country is hurting, crying out for help, justice and equality. To ignore it is a mistake. To say that it does not exist is a mistake. To say it can't be true because there is Black Attorney General is to ignore the pain that people are feeling. It is called empathy. You hear it, but you don't listen. You hear it, but you don't care. You hear, but dismiss it because you don't feel it's true. But athletes kneeling, wearing BLM, that somehow bothers you. Why do you think there are protests? Why do you think there are riots? You don't believe institutional racism exists, but millions of people are crying out differently. As a patriot I feel like it is time to hear it, listen to it, respect it and help bring about equality for everyone. That is a democracy.

Actually its a very small but loud portion of the country, heck it's even a very small portion of African Americans.
