Four BEST Teams

I'm sorry, but there's simply no way anyone can look at our team and think we're one of the 4 best. After watching the games yesterday, I saw several that would likely beat us handily.
We’re not getting in and we’re not worthy but I didn’t see that. UGA gave up 500 yards passing, 300 of it to a backup QB. LSU had their way with them offensively if it wasn’t for some freak TO’s/TD’s that game may look a lot different. Every bounce literally went UGA’s way. The secondary is beatable and we saw it in our game, we just didn’t connect when guys were behind people; LSU did. Yesterday was the most vulnerable defensively I’ve seen UGA all season.

We lost to an 8-4, 20th ranked team that beat 2 top 10 teams (our worst loss)
Bamas best win was 8-4 Ole Miss not ranked in final AP top 25(Bamas best win) and Bama lost to a 4 loss LSU team
Bama’s best win is technically Texas on the road since they’re ranked 20th.

We dropped 4 spots after losing to UGA, #1 ranked team in polls. Even in a championship game loss there should be criteria of 2-3 spot drop. If you don’t drop them there’s no reason for the playoff rankings. A loss is a loss
No it’s not. A game that was over 1/2 way through the 2nd quarter isn’t the same as losing on the last play of the game in OT in an extra game that 110 other teams didn’t earn the right to play in. TCU shouldn’t be penalized for playing an extra game while OSU and Bama set at home.

The committee would never allow only 2 conferences to be in the playoffs.
With the way it all played out, 13-0 Georgia would be your 1 seed. 13-0 Michigan is the 2. Then, an 11-1 Tennessee would have been in as a 3 seed. And an 11-1 Ohio State would theoretically pop back up to 4th seed after TCU & USC spewbed off their chances this past weekend.

The committee would have been forced to make one hell of a decision.

Milton is behind HH in '22 but it's not as much as you would think, of course JMIII has a smaller sample size
Comp% HH-69% JM= 63%
QBR HH= 89.5 JM= 85.7
Rating HH= 175.6 JM= 217

Milton played in zero competitive games vs Top 25 opponents unless it was last possession work vs LSU or KY. It’s not just the small sample size, it’s the level of competition. His numbers would be far worse if he had been the guy vs PITT, FLA, LSU, Bama and Kentucky. And we would have had more losses on our record.

After the SC loss UT doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs and with Hooker gone for the year I wouldn't put them in. Neither Bamers or UT deserve to be in with 2 losses period.

Also the most points scored on LSU all season. UGA is probably the only complete team in the playoffs.

Georgia vs Ohio State in Peach Bowl

Michigan vs Tennessee in Fiesta Bowl

Joe Milton has found his long ball touch.

Vols gonna win by fiddy

It’s interesting how focused everyone is on deep throw accuracy for Milton as if that’s the only issue he needs to fix.
He hasn’t found his accuracy on deep throws as we all saw against vandy. But that’s the least of his issues.
Stares down primary receiver and if they aren’t open he doesn’t go through progressions. No touch on short to intermediate throws. Poor accuracy in general. Low football IQ as we saw last year against Ole Miss.
Wold be surprised if he is recognizing coverages and blitzes to make pre-snap reads or recognizing changes in coverage post snap.
The game plan against Vandy was deep throws and out in the flat for most of the game which tells me they don’t trust him to throw over the middle.
Will be interesting to see they game plan in the bowl game to work around his inability to play QB.
We will have a hard time beating any decent team if we can’t run our full offense.

Sure they should. Win the game, leave no doubt as TCU had a questionable schedule. Vandy plays a tougher schedule than TCU.

They’re the most complete by far and LSU’s defense was somewhat surprising. I expected the game to be along the lines of a 38-17 +/- a few pts either way type game. Kirby is a master at getting guys up for the big games (save maybe Bama where they seem to press a lot) and they leave little doubt. He’s been “lucky” that the talent and experience is there in some of those games that they haven’t been hyped for.

Georgia and Michigan are indisputable. Beyond that, there are at least 5 teams with a legitimate argument. This is why the 12 team playoff is necessary. TCU will get smoked no matter who they play, but I must admit, their QB has guts.

No they didn’t play a questionable schedule, this random every SEC team plays a tougher schedule has to stop. Their SOS was tougher than UGA’s and Michigan’s going into yesterday and only improved playing a Top 10 team. Would you say either of those other two teams deserved to be out had either one of them lost yesterday?

Of course Vandy plays a tougher schedule when your last place everyone is going to be better than you.

UGA
Michigan
TCU
OS

I think these are the matchups they want.

Tennessee doesn’t belong in the CFP now.
I think we belong just as much as a team that lost a home game to another playoff participant by three scores. Buckeyes had their playoff game already.

Best win by TCU was 17-10 over Texas. Lost biggest game, sorry mediocrity by TCU shouldn’t be rewarded. Like I said it Tennessee gets punished for losing games, then what’s good for the goose.

Bama
TN
Ole Miss
South Carolina
UGA

TCU goes 1-4, Vandy went 0-5

Yep! We lost to a 4 loss UNRANKED team, Bama lost to a 4 loss (3 at the time) ranked team.

Just accept that we blew our chance in Columbia and a good thing we did, because we simply dont have the horses to beat UGA or Michigan at this moment. Go win the Orange bowl, finish the season #3 or #4 and have momentum going into next year.

They played an EXTRA game and lost in OT. Had they lost in the regular season like us they would’ve been punished.

SOS:
UGA 36
UM 37
OSU 39
TCU 25

UGA and Michigan couldn’t have been locks regardless of yesterday’s outcome and OSU can’t be a shoe-in while TCU, would’ve had the same record as all 3 of them and played a tougher schedule and been outside looking in. But it was a forgone conclusion that those other 3 were in no matter what, and TCU has earned the right, on the field, to be there too. Their biggest win was actually over the KSU team they just lost to, not Texas. It’s hard to beat a team twice in the same season, ask 2021 Bama or 2017 Auburn or 2020 Notre Dame.

OSU has 1 loss, TCU has 1 loss, we have 2. TCU played more games and lost fewer. Regardless of schedule or who beat who (because the transitive property doesnt work in sports) we have more losses, were not in our conference title game, and lost late in the season.

We are right where we deserve to be. Successful year and super proud of the team which was way better than any of us thought.

Go win the orange bowl and finish with momentum

I think since Germany went down and France as well, we have a chance to play the Netherlands in the finals ?

Mediocrity and lost the biggest game. Not sure earned is the appropriate term. Media manipulation would be accurate based on schedule and results.

And lost to a lower ranked team. A loss is a loss, no need to validate losing.
