They didn’t need to get to 8 wins. They needed to win 1. And that’s why we play games instead of relying on odds. If that’s the case just take the 4 best odds at the beginning of the season and play a playoff on Labor Day weekend. Teams get better (or worse) as the season progresses and SCar did exactly that.

Did they play teams the caliber of Tennessee, UGA or Bama? You can’t because their best win was to the #10 team that beat them. Mediocrity being rewarded

Bama barely beat 5-7 AM at home, Bama barely beat 8-4 TX, Bama barely beat 8-4 Ole Miss. Those juggernauts? Bama went 0-2 vs the two best teams they played, period. TCU didn’t.

It is what it is. Don’t lose the only game that mattered in a weak schedule. Not all conferences are the same and shouldn’t be rewarded as equal.

It’s not a weak schedule though. It’s the strongest schedule of any of the 4 playoff teams and top 25 in the nation. You’re arguing just for the sake of arguing at this point and not using any sense of logic. It’s all emotion based.

TCU last second FG to beat Baylor? Small win over Kansas and OK State? Juggernauts. TCU went 1-1 vs their best team…same team that was ranked lower than the teams Bama lost to. See what I did there.

No I don’t see what you did there. You’re arguing that a team who played 13 games (11 against P5 teams) and lost 1 game by 3 pts deserves to be behind teams who lost two games out of 12 (9 against P5 teams). Bama’s 2nd loss is now to a 4 loss team who lost 3 games by 2+ TD’s. The more LSU played the worse the Bama loss to them looks. TCU’s 1 loss is to a top 10 team and they have two wins vs top 20 teams (one top 10). Bama has 1 loss to a top 10 team, 1 loss to a top 20 team and 2 wins vs top 20 teams. Wins vs TX and KSU > wins vs TX and Mis St. If TCU was sitting there with a schedule in the 60’s they’d be out. But contrary to your opinion the data and indisputable facts support their deservingness.

Their conference SOS was the 3rd highest in football. 20% of their teams finished with losing records, 21% of the SEC finished with losing records. 80% of their teams finished .500 or better, 78% of the SEC finished .500 or better. Again, stats over baseless comments.

Beat up on bad teams and squeaked by mediocre teams. Accurate and lost to a 3 loss team in the Championship. Mediocrity rewarded.
final word to you as my stance is they are not good or 4 best teams. If they beat Michigan I’ll come back to revisit this with a you were correct.

Ultimately, the loss by UT cost them. Period. Had it even been close (7 or less/overtime), there might have been an argument. Even at that, I think UT’s inconsistency on defense, from serviceable to down right terrible, would have hurt them if it came to that.

Tcu getting in a joke. It ruins that playoff game. Let’s be real bama would beat them by 30. I’d rather see a team with a chance get in and honestly anyone with a chance to beat Georgia has my vote.

But, playing the game at sea level....the ball doesn't carry as far.

I personally don’t care.. I just don’t want to see Bama in it all, don’t care if it’s competitive not competitive fair or not fair lol …most people probably agree with me 😂
