Fox being sued for allegedly broadcasting ‘lies’ about Dominion

Hell, BB still believes it.
I do believe that the June 9, 2016 Trump Tower meeting took place .... and coupled with that e-mail exchange between Rob Goldstone and Donald Trump Jr. ... while also factoring in Trump Jr.'s lies - it justified Robert Mueller's 2016 Trump Campaign / Russian government collusion probe.

None of you ever want to talk specifically about those e-mails and the fact that the meeting did take place. If there was nothing wrong with the meeting, then why did Trump Jr. lie about it? His lies courted the scrutiny which followed, and justifiably so.

^^^^ This will invariably be followed up with a Steele Dossier "what-about-ism", or some non-substantive response. ^^^^

The Steele dossier may not have been entirely accurate, Trump may not be an actual "spy" for Russia--but he's deeply corrupt
and he most definitely has a boner for Putin War Criminal and Russia--America's chief adversary. Russia's troll factories most definitely
helped the gangsgter in the election with countless social-media propaganda posts on Facebook and Twitter. The gangster's campaign manager,
Manafort, is a sleaze who worked for a Russian and a pro-Russia Ukrainian politician (former president). The trump campaign axed aid for Ukraine out of the Republican platform. NRA leaders were tight with a Russian, and the NRA's campaign contribution to the gangster/GOP was much higher in '16 than it had ever been before. It is very likely that Russia funneled money to the NRA, which funneled it to the gangster campaign, but that's never been proved. When you stand up at a summit press conference and say that you don't believe U.S. intelligence showing the Russia interfered in the election and take Putin's word on the matter, you know there's a problem.

Not sure how we got off on this topic in the Dominion lawsuit thread. It now appears that the Fox Weasel in Chief, Rupert Murdoch, is trying to settle to avoid, first, losing the trial, and second, all the embarrassing revelations that would come out of the trial about how Fox spoon feeds nonsense to its viewers knowing full well that much or most of what its actor/hosts say is BS. In fact, they've already said that about the '20 election and Trump's lies.

You make some ridiculous statements about Russia that have been debunked. However, since we are talking about election interference. Do you also acknowledge that Facebook, twitter and other liberal ran outlets mislabeled the Hunter Biden laptop as Russian disinformation and the laptop has now been proven authentic and that may have flipped the 2020 election? The same laptop that shows the Biden's took money from China, Russia and Ukraine as well as other corrupt business dealings?

The June 9, 2016 meeting at Trump Tower has never been debunked.

It happened, and Trump Jr. lied about the meeting taking place, as well as who was in attendance at the meeting, and what was discussed.

If there was nothing inappropriate about this meeting, then why did Trump Jr. lie about it?

^^^^ The response to this, will always be in the form of deflection, about the Steele Dossier. ^^^^

No deflection. After 2 years, $32 million dollars spent, and a raid on Manafort's home to specifically find info about this meeting the Mueller report passed on any charges related to the meeting ...

According to the report, Trump Jr. wanted the statement to say it was to "primarily" talk about the issue of Russian adoption. In text messages provided to Mueller, Hicks agreed with Trump Jr. but said his father didn't want that word included in the statement because "he was worried it invites questions."

Trump Jr. said that if the caveat was not included it would appear "as though I'm lying later when they inevitably leak something."

The statement ultimately given to The Times for their story publish on July 8, 2017 was the president's version — the one that declared the meeting was about adoption policy.

Trump Jr. had to issue subsequent statements once it became clear the initial response was misleading, and eventually disclosed the emails publicly once he became aware The Times was about to publish them in a subsequent story.

But Mueller concluded that because each of these misleading efforts was directed at the press, and that there was no evidence Trump sought to withhold information from or mislead Congress or the special counsel, it did not constitute obstruction of justice.

... and that was a lie.

The e-mail exchanges between Rob Goldstone and Trump Jr. make that very clear.

It doesn't matter how many times you post that ...

The e-mail exchanges between Rob Goldstone and Donald Trump Jr. make it very clear that Trump Jr. was not looking forward to the June 9, 2016 meeting at Trump Tower with Natalia Veselnitskaya and Russian operatives, because he wanted to discuss the potential repeal of the Magnitsky Act and the resumption of Americans adopting Russian children. From Trump Jr.'s perspective, the purpose of the meeting was to discuss opposition research on Hillary Clinton. Dishonest statements regarding this meeting were publicly issued. This understandably aroused suspicion.

Settlement negotiations requested by Fox. Interesting. Guess they're getting worried.

One thing Dominion has never wavered on is that Fox will have to admit it purposely lied. I'm sure the right wing will rationalize it if they do. We all know you guys don't watch Fox for its truthfulness, you watch it because you only want to hear that which supports your position, no matter how false.

So how will you react if part of the settlement is that for a month Fox must repeatedly (I like once an hour) broadcast a public service announcement that they lied about Dominion and that there was no voter fraud?

Guess that will depend on how scared Fox is. I read a WSJ report indicating Fox could absorb a nine figure number, but once you go over $1 billion, it starts getting dicey unless they can borrow short-term operating capital.

All of the Marxists and some conservatives are predicting FOX will be hit with a massive money judgement/settlement, and FOX News will be changed forever.

Then you'd know why so many companies choose Delaware as the place it incorporate. Which is interesting why that reason remains since DE is heavily democrat ... and dems hate business - at least they claim the GOP is the party that relies on business contributions and ignores the common people.

Bragging up your fancy education. I still can't find Delaware, or Connecticut, on a unlabeled US map.

That's just not true. No one can locate Delaware on a map. I know, I've tried numerous times. Even google earth gets lost.

The Trial is scheduled to begin tomorrow and Video and Audio recordings are forbidden.

If FOX loses a massive amount of money as everyone is predicting, will they be forced to fire Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity in order to reduce spending?

Such a weak predication for a $40M investigation and use of government power. A meeting to get dirt, whilst the opposition used foreign sources and lied. That gets a pass, and why it is terribly frustrating dealing with these hypocrites.

Every politician ever would have took the meeting. I’m much more concerned about the current idiot being owned by the Chinese

I am going to say something profound, but I really believe it. This Dem support for Ukraine seems like proxy hate against Trump. All we have heard for 6 years..Russia, Putin, Trump is a Russian agent. I can find no other explanation as to why they and their party became such quick Neo liberals.

Could be, I don’t put anything past scum democrats. But I think most of it’s because Zelensky is corrupt and Biden is too so these billions are likely benefiting both of them.

That is not true.

Once again, if there was nothing wrong with the meeting, then why lie about it? The Trump's aroused suspicion with their lies. The question of why they lied, is never answered in this forum.

Like I said earlier, you guys will never answer for Trump's lies ... the only thing you can do is deflect to the Steele Dossier.
