Last I remember their athletic budget was around $30 millon dollar range. That is middle of the pack at best in the Sec. But they are not operating in the negative. They have posted a surplus every year since Chancellor Gee took over which is a plus considering it is Vandy

Vandy is a private institution with a huge endowment. They can afford to spend the money, but in the past they preferred to spend it on medical research, academics etc.
