How is that racist? He was talking in terms of resume and potential match with program and difficulty to successfully coach there. He said he did not think CS was the right fit for Texas and thought it was a bad hire. It wasnt because of race. It was because he thought CS wasn't that good of a coach.

I think Vandy is trying to make a last minute deal to keep him.

I hope he stays. I'm going to enjoy Butch and the boys beating him in the future.

I don't care if the bast&@;: goes or stays. All I want is for the Vols to resume kicking vandy's but on a regular basis. He is a good coach, but he is not the next Gen. Neyland. Some folks on here are on him as bad as Clay Travis.

I watched Charlie Strong wearing that Gator head set in too many games that went against us to ever like the man. He doesn't have much of a personality to like from what I've seen, but he earned his respect as a coach the hard way. His Louisville teams played very well for him and beat some bigger programs. I think Texas got a good football coach. When the Longhorns start winning again, the alumni will stop their crying.

Never thought I see the day that 75 percent of VOL fans were scared of vandy, well there coach I wanted the SOB to stay where we could kick his azz like he did our last year 41-13, now we don't get to pay the fffffffffffffffffffffffer back.:banghead2:

Strong has done nothing to impress me except for signing a very good qb, Bridgewater. I was so thankful last year when he turned us down. Louisvile played in a weak conference and without Bridgwater what kind or record would he have? I think he fails terribly in TX.

Franklin on the other hand took over a bad program and has completely turned Vandy around. They have improved every year playing in the toughest conference in the NCAA. He has proven he can recruit, coach and win with less talent. If he takes the PSU job I think he will be a player for the championship by year 2.

That is just an old man's opinion. I have been wrong a time or two.

I just saw where Petrino has hired Kevin Steele as his DC.

Hey they get Chad Morris and he aint bad. Vandy can out pay any institution but the problem is they are not yet willing to. If they do then you have Stanford south east

Franklin is making 3 - 3.5 million per year at Vandy, correct?
I think you are correct. New facilities a good coach Vandy can compete. IMO Nashville is the best city of any SEC school.
