I always catch flack for this, but i don't really like turkey. Ham > turkey

Not a big fan of either. I try and mix it up. Some years I'll do a roast or pork loin. Others, I'll do steak. This year though I'm think of doing some lamb shanks.

We usually eat steak and shrimp and join the neighbors for dessert. Always watched Christmas Vacation and A Christmas Story. Pretty traditional though.

People seem to be mentioning ham more than turkey. We have both but I prefer turkey. And I look forward to sweet potato casserole.

we do a beef tenderloin for X-mas

I read the letter to Santa my daughter wrote in school yesterday, she can be so obnoxious some times, but the letter was super sweet..

She asked for an Ipad mini, for her, Swamp Force for her Brother, jewelry for her Mom, and a stuffed dog for me..

I have no idea where the idea for a stuffed dog, for me came from.

Hope everyone has a great Christmas

First thing in the morning I read to my wife the birth of Christ to remind us all what Christmas is really about for us and then a prayer to thank Him for coming. Once my two girls get up (older kids would rather sleep in now) and then open gifts together. Then family comes over and we have Mexican build up for our Christmas meal.

This falls squarely in the non-traditionalist category I suppose, but here goes…

Being in education, my whole family has the next 2 weeks off, so lots of free time makes this even possible, but…

Every year we watch the extended cut of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Usually takes place over the course of two days, though the more epic among my family have accomplished the feat while stopping only for more popcorn.

Oh, how I long for the day to return when "One does not simply walk into Neyland. Not with 10,000 men could this be done."

At the risk of neverending future ridicule, I admit I like Home Alone also.

What's the movie with Danny DeVito about the Christmas lights? My kids like that one.

Well, they can ridicule us both. I like Home Alone too.

Deck the Halls is the DeVito movie

I get off Tues, Wed. & Thurs so I'll be headed to see the parents after our safety brief on Monday. Hoping Monday is a short day so I can hit the road early. Playing golf and getting my flat tire fixed for the weekend. Already watched Grinch, Christmas Vacation, Rudolph and Frosty. Still need to catch Elf, a Christmas Story and Charlie Brown.
