Fresh off the Press: McCain suspends campaigning

what little research I've done on the Keating 5 leads me to believe that McCain's involvement was ancillary at best. However, if it makes you feel better by hanging it on his shoulders, bully for you. You were never a McCain supporter in the first place, so there is little risk to you in bringing up something so tenuous.

You mean like Obama's connection to Ayers? his muslim faith?..... so on and so on?

Sorry couldn't resist :p

Obama is supposed to speak live at 4:45 ET.

We'll see where this goes. Any bets on how this thing is going to play out?

Obama's connection to Ayers is well documented and far deeper than the MSM is willing to investigate. Go ahead and believe Obama's lies when he tells you otherwise.

I think Obama will hold McCain's feet to the fire on the debate - as he should since he's got the momentum. He'll probably also offer to join McCain in brokering a deal. The theater of it all is going to be whether McCain shows up to debate.

Larry Sabato nailed it a few minutes ago when he said this is McCain rolling the dice again just like he did with Palin.

Well, if it hasn't been investigated or proven on any legit level, I am not going to assume a connection because Hannity believes it so.

maybe you won't consider those "legit", maybe you will. However, you're lying to yourself when you claim Obama and Ayers aren't far closer than either will admit. You don't launch your political career from the home of a casual acquaintance.

He we go with the conservative political stategy.....

Anytime any legitimate issue is brought up that actually means something in this election...in this case the economy and debates...let's break out the smoke and mirrors and bring up something like Ayers. Heaven forbid we talk about issues.

It's only a matter of time before we dive into the silliness of Wright, Lipstick, and flag lapels. You guys really have nonething better, do you?

Your boy MonterreyVol brought it up first as if it were an insignificant issue. Which it isn't.

so you're going to pretend that listening to either candidate blather on with campaign speak about what they're going to do is of any value whatsoever? Both are trying to be someone they're not and neither doing it particularly well. Obama has a miniscule and laughable legislative record that paints his true colors. McCain has an extensive record that paints his true colors.

McCain is going to have to deal with a Dem congress and is likely to deal with gridlock (which I like) and Obama would essentially have a blank check similar to the one GWB had (which I hate). Obama's main platform for selection by the dems was Iraq and his stated objective is a pipe dream. McCain is doing little more than pandering to the right so they'll show up. I don't find any of that worthwhile and debates are little more than educational exercises in propaganda and lies.

The "let's talk the issues" red herring is little more than a cry out that McCain outmaneuvered Obama for the day.

that's because you're not sharp enough to come up with a response in a reasonable amount of time. I understand since I've seen it with your favored son in any ad hoc conversation he has had.

Leave it up to you to turn any thread into an excuse to attack Obama. All of this....

.....has been covered ad naseum in other threads. In this single post alone, you have attacked Obama's record and experience, praised McCains, and then went on a stream of conciousness rant about a democratic congress to blank checks, Iraq, McCain's pandering, and debating propaganda and lies.

Again, LMAO at your post....I love this board.
