Freshman Arrested for DUI

The article says that Smith got a DUI, and that CPF will dole out a punishment.

Then it goes on to say that Kallenburg, the alleged sex starved teacher, is filling a sex descrimination suit. She claims that a male teacher accused of similar charges was allowed to resign without the fanfare.

Sounds like this guy needs to get his life straightened out before he worries about playing football.

I almost feel sorry for this kid. He's tangled up in some bad stuff that he should have never had to deal with.

And to think we thought it was going to be a quiet offseason...

At least it's all hitting the fan now when the kids are all about to enter a structured practice environment and have the threat of getting run to death hanging over them.

It's not like he was an innocent by-stander Georgie. He CHOSE to have to deal with it.

I was just thinking that if this keeps up CPF will need a punishment scale (a list of possible violations with punishments) just to keep things fair and balanced.

He did choose to be involved, but an authority figure should have never given him the opportunity.

Maybe if that Vice Principal had used her "teacher brain", a kid's future wouldn't be in jeopardy.

That's true, too, BUT some people will find trouble with or without an "authority figure" involved. DUI happens to be one of those times.

At least we can't say the lack of discipline is Fulmer's fault. The kid ain't on campus yet so it's still mom and dad's fault. It seems this kid may have had his way a few too many times in the past.

Yeah, nothing screams "mad skillz" like bedding down with a frumpy, middle aged school marm.

Or maybe, just maybe this is a plot against him and the police made it all up. He didn't take a BAC test so this could all be a ploy to ruin his life. The truth is out there :devilsmoke:

"Coach Phillip Fulmer has already decided on the severity of Smith’s punishment, but will wait and announce it later this afternoon after meeting with Smith, according to UT spokesperson Tiffany Carpenter."

======================

Guess CPF's decision is imminent.

Throwing a player off the team is easy. All the fugazi disciplinarians will praise you. Sticking with a kid through tough times and ignoring the media and fan blather requires real strength.
