I agree VS#1 but until it happens the will continue to be cynical about him. I honestly have come to the conclusion that most fans feel the way we do about CPF. I am happy to have him here and see many more successful seasons under him. Has he messed up? yes, of course. Can we get a better man or coach to lead our football team? Absolutely not. GO VOLS!

I AGREE, These kids wanna play where they KNOW that either the school or the coach is championship calliber, and by that I mean relevent. 10 years ago todays recruits were in grade school. As much as I hate Nick Saban hes an example...He has RECENTLY won,not only an SECC but also the big show. I want us to go far ,but I dont see us staying in the top ten until some changes are made and as of now were waiting for what 2013 or 2014.

Too many pages to read. Here are Coach's stats and I am not Robert Peace.

Coach is 147-45. 102 more wins than losses. He has a MNC, and back to back SEC titles 97-98. 13 victories in one season, a first...and the list goes on. WHO could come to Knoxville and do that? Who? Sure lets get rid of him, then what?
He is the best fit for us PERIOD!.
You all will see that this season will turn into a very special season. Here is a telling stat...39-11. That is our record breaking in a new QB. We WILL win the East and SEC. Wait and see.

I'm quite confident Tennessee can find several guys to go nine years without a conference title for $2+ mil a year.

There are close to 120 other div.I coaches out there and close to twice that many asst. coaches or coordinators. Out of that 360 or so candidates, we are supposed to be believe that Fulmer is the only one qualified to get us 9 wins a season and go 9+ years with no hardware? And I'm certain that there are plenty that would take the job for less than $2 million.

Peace actually had his moments. He played really well against Bama in '03, for example. However, I thought it was pretty funny reading the NFL draft evaluations that had him being a steal in the 5th round. Regardless, we've had several players start for significant periods of time that make Peace look like a stud.

I actually liked Peace while he played at UT. He certainly isn't an all time great or anything though.

Because of him the league is that much more competitive, I mean come on!, we WON the east last year. UGA was luck enough to tie US. We didn't tie them. WITH this year's win in Athens I believe Coach Fulmer will hold a .500 record against Richt. This will be the YEAR we beat UF in Knoxville, and will whip AU while we're at it. Like I said before, I am taking you up on your bet.
