You were the one who brought up how often we win double digit games. On average we win at least 10 every other year.
Well, I had a big elaborate post typed out explaining my views, but the thread got merged and my post was lost. So I'll summarize
UGA-has emerged as a top caliber football team
UF-has had 3 coaches and have won a national title and are now right there with UGA at the top in college football in the nation
USC-has went from awful to a top 25 team
Alabama-now has the best coach in college football and should be competing for national titles by '09 or '10
LSU-has won 2 NT's. Saban built an incredible program and won. Miles took over and has went 3-0 in bowl games including 2 BCS blowout wins and a national title
Auburn-Tubberville has owned Fulmer and has had an undefeated season. The Tigers are a top 15 football program in the nation
Arkansas-lucked up with 2 terrific backs and had some successful results. Now, they should fade into the 4th-6th battle in the West for the upcoming years
We've managed to be consistently average. We've played for a couple of SEC titles, but haven't advanced. '03 was the only year we really overachieved. '05 was a joke. Other than that we've had some average seasons, nothing special, nothing too awful.
Like I said earlier, I don't expect to win 11-12 games a year, but can't we compete every 2-3 years for a BCS title. It can be done in the SEC (look at LSU, Florida, UGA). The ratings for us don't lie, look at how many games were not on TV last year. That says it all
