Fulmer Debate II

It's more of your wife stopped going down on you, so you left her for someone that said she would, but then you end up catching herpes.

Or rather, you left her for someone that said she would, but then she left you because she found a bigger one, and then the next woman was awful in the bed and then gave you herpes

This doesn't even make sense or is remotely comparable.

Come on now. Don't dodge the question. You're the one suggesting the we're playing bad football now because we fired Fulmer.

I'm saying we're playing bad football now because we made bad choices after firing Fulmer. Not because of it.

Using your logic, Alabama is succeeding because they fired Shula and Saban being the coach isn't as big a factor.

It's the same thing man. If you wanted Fulmer gone that's fine but you should've realized the grass isn't always greener. A lot of people looked ahead & wondered who the hell is gonna take the job & is there anyone better available. Obviously there wasn't. You can say such & such but unless he had accepted before Fulmer stepped down then its a moot point. You can't want the man gone then when it backfires blame it on something else. Regardless of who you think should've succeeded Fulmer we got what we got & we're where we are because he was fired.

Jut like Alabama is where they are because they fired Shula. Not because they hired Saban.

That's what your logic equates to here.

Firing a coach is merely a catalyst. The outcome isn't determined until a new coach is hired. We are where we are today mostly because Kiffin and Dooley were hired.

I was making fun of yours.

My logic is we're playing bad football now because they made bad choices following Fulmer. Not because he was fired.

So you didn't want Fulmer gone? If so why can't your logic see that if Fulmer wasn't fired those choices wouldn't have happened.

Sounds like you should go pull for bama

Sure I did.

But when Fulmer was fired those choices weren't made. We didn't have to hire a punk and an incompetent to follow him. There's a wealth of coaches out there that have taken jobs at other programs and succeeded.

My four-year-old wouldn't be able to make that distinction. But my eight-year-old would.

Your logic makes no sense. We had one of our best years after Fulmer left with Kiffin. How is Kiffin ditching us for USC and us hiring one of the worse coaches ever that hasn't won at any level Fulmer's fault?

Let's say that unlikely as it is, Tennessee threw 6 million a year at Saban and he took the job after Fulmer. Just for illustration purposes.

Do you believe we still would be playing bad football today?

So your 4 year old wouldn't be able to see nobody wanted the job after Fulmer was gone not to mention we was cash strapped with a huge buyout but your 8 year old would. It's a shame a grown man can't see that. All they wanted to see is Fulmer wasn't winning like they wanted but getting rid of him & replacing with whoever would bring automatic success.

If money & championship coaches grew on trees your plan works beautifully

Not saying it would happen. Just that things might have turned out differently had we hired a different coach.

I don't see why it's so hard for you to understand that.
