I appreciate the good times CPF brought us, but he did so with a great support staff. Let's not forget that the offense started slipping when Cutt left, and the dreaded "Clawfense" for that matter. Also, by CPF's own admission, the game had gotten away from him and he'd slipped in recruitment.

This program became a train wreck with the replacement hires. They fired Phil without a plan to replace him - that's where it all went wrong.
