Fulmer Debate II

Just wondering if any teams would be interested in him.

I don't see him coaching college ball again.

Why yes, NFL teams would jump at the opportunity to get a coach who's never coached in the pros and hasn't coached in years.

…REALLY!?!?!?!

How I felt upon opening this thread.

Only Mike Hamilton bought those rumors started by Fulmer's agent...which always ended with a new contract or extension for Fulmer.

I've heard talks of Fulmer to Monday Night Football to replace Gruden. Because Gruden is supposedly in closed door meetings with Dave Hart right now. Remember Gruden's wife went UT and I've heard they were spotted in Gatlinburg over Christmas. Some even saw them looking at property in Blount Co. and south Knox Co. I think its all finally coming together....

I remember that! One year he didn't get the raise just the extension then Hammy loaded him up to the bank vault after the 07 season. Did anyone else think hammy was crazy for doing so?

Every sane person thought that was a dumb move at the time, but clearly there weren't enough sane folks in charge.

Fulmer could never win in a league that had the type of coaching it does now. He had a losing record against every decent coach out there, Saban, Meyer, Spurrier, Richt, Tubberville, etc.

What is is win/loss record against each of those coaches in the past 7 years? Just asking, I don't know.

Who does have a winning record against those coaches?

Sorry, Pimp. That question throws off the talking points.

I think Tubby had a winning record against Saban.

Of course, he also lost twice to a non-Franklin-coached Vandy team too, if I remember correctly.

Miles won a National Championship in a year he lost to Kentucky. Kentucky!

The SEC East is the weakest it has ever been. We would have been to Atlanta more than once over the last five years if we just let Tebow graduate and give Crompdaddy the same OC two years in a row.

Instead we chose the "lose to Vandy almost three years running" approach to football improvement.
