So you don't think any school would want someone with a 152-52 record? Wrong! There are plenty of coaches with a lot worse record that have gotten jobs. Fulmer is a Vol, that's why he hasn't gone anywhere else. He is committed and loves UT too much to see it fail even if he isn't coaching. I'm not saying he'll get another shot at TN, but it drives me nuts that people don't give him the respect he deserves.

How did it passs him by?

Lost the 2007 SECCG by 1 td and Eric Ainge our QB at the time threw 2 int. in the 4th QTR. If he would have won that game you would say that. Lets not forget he beat Georgia 35-14 when they where ranked #12. Georgia went on to finish ranked #2.

And for the record Compare Fulmer 2001-2007 to Richt 2006-20012. Richt has 1 more win than Fulmer. Last SECCG Richt won was 2005. Since 2005 he has made it twice 2011-2012 losing both.

So explain how the game passed him by.

It's 2012. Not only has this ship sailed, it was sunk and then recovered by James Cameron, who plans on opening a museum around it.

i read today that he was goin to take the job at louisville, then decided not to and strong took it. from what i heard on the 100.3fm today fulmer has showed inertest in coaching again. and has contacted assistant coaches...

Compare Fulmer 2001-2007 to Richt 2006-20012. Richt has 1 more win than Fulmer. Last SECCG Richt won was 2005. Since 2005 he has made it twice 2011-2012 losing both.

From 2001-2007 Fulmer made it to the SECCG 3 times.

Do people not even remember that this whole slide into the abyss was started by that fat bloated tub of lard with the way over inflated ego !!!

For cryin out loud !!! The reason we got to such awful shape talent wise under Kiffin and Dooley is because Clappy McFatass recruited like garbage his last few years.

Do people not remember that this lazy sack of s--t had two losing seasons in his last 4 and lost to freakin' Wyoming ? !!!

When fulmer was done with this program we had two walk on twins whose combined weight equaled one Tiny starting on the offensive line. That's just one of the areas he had just quit on.

In guessing if you narrowed your comparison to Fulmers last 3 years at UT vs Richt's last 3 years, you'd know how I felt. Picking 6-7 year stretches really dilutes the problems at the end out. Fulmer wasn't let go for what happened from 2001-2007. He was let go for what happened his final couple years.

fulmer's record was 152-52, out of 17 seasons 14 of them were with 8 or more wins! and out of the 14 seaons 9 of which were with 10 or more.

im not saying that fulmer is the answer,IMO he is allitle seasoned...may of even got lazy, is isnt bad enough to condemn to hell

You also fired your coach during mid season without a competent replacement. Kiffen also ran off the QB who just won an award as the best QB in the ACC. What did you expect. The same thing we are going through now. Recruits waiting to see who is hired.

And remember he had the #5 recruiting class in 2007.
It's up to the coaches to coach them up. He gave us talent. Blame the coaches who didn't develop them. Kiffen and Dooley had the job of developing them. Sorry
