Wouldn't know where to start but let me say this....no coach thinks they sign enough lineman ever because to win a championship use need a boatload that play ever game....and it's been well since 1998 that we've had that many..... So CPF is right. By the way it's gonna take more than one class for CBJ to restock so get yo patience cap on....

I still would have rather had Fulmer than suffering through Lame and Dooley.

You would rather have the disease rather than trying two cures that didn't work?

kiffin is/was not a cure for anything...anywhere. Hiring Kiffin is like shooting a lame horse and expecting it to get up afterward.

As someone who believed it was time for Fulmer to leave, I can't believe the absolute hate and disrespect that he receives from this portion of the fanbase. It is pathetic. If anyone, ANYONE, meets the definition of VFL it is Phil Fulmer. Of course Fulmer, former lineman and lineman coach, thinks we should have more linemen, sarcasm or not. Although, I guess it is good to get a break from some of you telling us how bad our own players suck.

Considering Fulmer's piss poor recruiting cost him his job and is ultimately responsible for our downward spiral, he's really not in a position to criticize.

That said, he also told Clay Travis we didn't have enough linemen before we got Barnett, Blair, and Hendrix.

I agree filmed recruiting slipped big time and did cost him

Fulmer Record against
Steve Spurrier....5-8
Urban Meyer. ...0 -3
Les Miles......... ..1-2
Nick Saban........ 1-3
Mark Richt....... .3-4
T. Tuberville.......3-3

13- 23

13-23 is pretty bad.

I would say most of the wins came with Cutcliff there. The Randy Sanders years were painful, both when he played and coached. The winning TN teams had 3 common denomitators. Fulmer recruiting, Cutcliff calling plays and managing QBs, and Chavis on the Defense. Peyton's senior year we had shotput track guys trying to play d-line and a senior (cant recall name) with two bad knees and lower back. Coaching makes alot of difference in college which is why I am sick of hearing excuses for this staff. Fulmer, can it... Butch go win these last 3 games and try not to get blown out at home by a decent but not elite Auburn team.

Thanks. I'll hang up and listen.

We currently have 1 projected DT. (There are some DE tweeners that could play DT) but Lambert is the only current true DT committed.. I feel like we could use 1 or 2 more. But other than that, offensive line and defensive like class looks solid.

Lambert is listed as a SDE. He's another one that might grow into a DT. We don't have one true DT comittment yet.

we need linemen.but we also need linebackers,db's,running backs.so many needs its hard to cover all areas even with 30 scholarships.

Picking up a top offensive lineman or two would be nice, but we need skill position players and linebackers, so that's what we're loaded up with for this class.

Fulmer did such a great job recruiting linemen that the year after he was fired, Kiffin had to start walk on linemen. If he had done his job the state of the program would never be in this bad of shape.

Just remember Taj Boyd would have been our QB the last few years as he was committed to Coach Fulmer but Kiffin told him he wouldn't play in his system. All of you with Dimentia seem to forget the glory years we had under Fulmer in the late 90's to early 2000's. I guess a couple of SEC championships and a National Championship aren't good enough for you?? Fulmer built this program to the point of where we were one of, if not the top program in the country from 1998-2002. 151 wins vs. 51 losses speaks for itself. Geez!

And everybody is eternally greatful to Fulmer for that and which is why he has a frickin street named after him. But it was a long dismal slide into the abyss starting with that loss to Saban/LSU in the SECCG in '01. In the '90s, Fulmer only had to contend with Spurrier at UF. But in the 200s, as the SEC filled up with good coaches, they were not only better game day coaches, coaches like Richt and Saban kept their top in-state recruits at home. Spurrier leaving UF and re-emerging at SCar didn't help either because Meyer, another coach far better than Fulmer on game day, replaced SOS, and SOS at SCar began to keep that state's top talent at home. With so may good coaches in the SEC and with Fulmer struggling to get the top OL and DL, 2 positions that are a must in the SEC, and his inability to get a top RB, Fulmer and his teams became very average his last 5-6 years. I respect the guy and what he did for UT in the '90s, but his time had passed.

Even though there is some truth to Fulmer's comment...what in the hell is he doing commenting about this, at this stage? He was ALWAYS late to the party in recruiting and had to rely on closing strong the final few days before NSD.

We never had this many already committed this early, and certainly not ranked this high nationally, before the season ever started. CBJ is making him look pretty bad, so Fulmer's comments sounds like a jilted ex-girlfriend trying to put down her ex's much hotter replacement

Be careful man. I said this a few days ago and was called stupid, ignorant and an @#shole.

"@Riley_Blevins: Phillip Fulmer spoke to a UT class today & was asked about Butch's recruiting class. His response: 'He doesn't have enough linemen."

Saw this tweet today. Thought it was interesting.. And might be true.

Funny, I thought he would have said not enough donuts....

These kind if threads usually make me giggle because there is always that one guy that thinks he is speaking directly to whoever the thread is about. It's pretty great
