Fulmer Picking Up Steam/Schools looking at Fulmer?(merged)

By that reckoning it's 300% worse than the 2007 class.

I rest my case.

Gooch has done more than Tyler Bray at this point. I'm not dissing the kid - he's got potential. But I would not be surprised if Simms plays before halftime this weekend.

JJ has been a solid contributor.

More whiffs? I've only seen Tyler whiff on one block. Gooch on the other hand....

And he went 5-7 with those 7 NFLers. Very telling.

No. Without the Hambone Experiment, he wins a minimum of six. I would say the bowl game would have been a confident win. 7 - 6, same as Kiffin, but with a QB in complete vapor lock, and a lot of those NFL'ers sophomores and juniors.

Just doesn't work, lyls. Sorry.

He's the weak link. I don't dispute that. But he's done more for the team than TB at this stage.

I'd prefer to say that he has simply seen more playing time. I don't think that is going to hold up over the latter part of the season.

It would not surprise me if Simms finishes the game this weekend out of necessity. However, I think Bray has a lot of potential.

I know what you are trying to say, but seen more playing time = contributed more at this stage. I agree, with our left-handed center, and Bray seeing a lot more PT from here on out, the ratio might well change dramatically by season's end.

I would have liked to have seen it.

I don't want to see him at LSU for sure.

I've got a challenge for you. Go over to Tiger Droppings and start a thread entitled "Do you want Philip Fulmer as your next HC?" and see what happens.

Barring injury Gooch will not see the field again. Bray is the new starting QB.

For LSU fans, responding to that would be like golfing. With a beach ball. Set up on a Coca-Cola can.

Way too easy.

I'd question the coaches more than the kid.

I'm sure they sold Florida to him as some place that would play to his skills...and not bang their head against a wall running the frackin option.

He bought the Tebow to LB line. If Urby delivered that line to you with a tear in his eye, you'd buy it too.

You act like the Cam Newton thing was a done deal.

Kiffin ran off guys for discipline issues or because they didn't fit his system.

Busted? I'd say Janzen Jackson and Tyler Bray have done well thus far.

Although I expect Bray to do good things before he leaves TN, you can hardly say he's done well at this point. He is still a TBD in regards to success at TN.

The whole "WE COULDA HAD NEWTON" crowd cracks me up.

Setting aside that fact that it was never that close, can you imagine the backlash if UT had brought him in 6 or 7 weeks after the Great Pilot/Prius Stagecoach Robbery?

You realize Memphis has one of the worst defenses in FBS this year, correct? I doubt Bray has much trouble with Memphis nor should he get hit too much. You may have a point for the other three remaining games though, but they still don't have the defenses as the team has saw so far.
