Fulmer Picking Up Steam/Schools looking at Fulmer?(merged)

Fulmer: Minnesota "not a good fit" | StarTribune.com

In other news. I have no interest in dating scarlett johansson. Her large breasts just aren't a good fit for me.

You too? Plus those big lips! What in the world would anyone do with lips like those?

When I was interviewing Adriana Lima I had to also tell her that "it just wasn't a good fit." I'm looking for a chick that's reigning Miss Universe right now, my time is too valuable to be spending it on a rebuilding project like her.

AD at TN ? Are you kidding--- one mistake at a time,please- We currently have the biggest to deal with. !

Kiffin inherited a team with some guys at certain positions that quite possibly were the worst starters in the entire SEC. He turned a couple of those guys into NFL draft picks.

Kiffin and Dooley both have the excuse of Fulmer virtually ignoring a systematic approach to recruiting. Kiffin even commented upon arriving it was like the last staff just flat out didn't try to recruit certain positions. The offensive and defensive lines were two of the major problems and they still are for Dooley since a good number of Kiffin's recruits in those areas decommitted when Lane went to USC.

And don't try that "as we know" stuff about 9 wins last year. The entire world, including Phil, thinks that's the stupidest thing that's ever been thought.

don't know about Phil, I seem to remember a quote from him along the lines, thatKiffin should win alot with the talent he had coming back

I don't know if he would be a good fit up there from a culture stand point. But I would be happy to see him coach again although it would be wired to see him in gopher colors lol. I hope that he will back in the tennessee family & be our next AD. That's just my opinion

Based on info I've read, Phil says he's not interested. He's doing well as an analyst. However, he could either coach somewhere but not in SEC. Not sure how many loyal Vols would like Phil as AD, but I wouldn't mind seeing him back and giving his all to the BIG ORANGE. I know some wouldn't be happy with it though. I think Hamilton will be gone by the end of next season if not before. A lot of people are unhappy with him over his last two choices of HC for football at UT.:eek:hmy::blink:
GO VOLS!

fulmer will be looking for a better job somewhere warmer, like some school in texas, arizona, etc. New Mexico will be firing their worthless coach soon---maybe phil can get that job.

Was entirely objective too.

objectively, he recognized that the staff replacing his staff had better coaches than the one that won 5 games the previous year with that talent. SO his comment was likely spot on with what they should have done. :)

:eek:lol: Nice work L Dubya.

fulmer would have kept his job if he won more games. He didn't, so he got fired. Very simple.

Based on what? What he did in 2007?

The fact that Hambone had to fire him in mid-season, else it's a bowl winning season for the Vols and Fulmer can't be fired.

He had to pull the trigger mid-season, which resulted in the Wyoming loss that very weak. Team recovered, and beat two better teams afterwards despite having to bench JC against Vandy for a -200 QB rating.

Beat Wyoming, go bowling, get JC straightened out, no Kiffin, and right now, we are probably going to Atlanta in the SECE with wins over Fl, LSU, and (probably) USCe.

exactly. Who could argue against such rock solid stuff?

Great job. I'm sure you have copy and paste excuses available for the all the years where he fell short. And I don't buy your excuses and neither does all the top tier football teams which had openings which were not beating down his door to come coach for them.

Fulmer lost all credibility in 2005. That was a disaster of epic proportions, and never should have happened...there are simply not enough excuses to cover the missteps in that season. That is the season that cost him his job, his recruiting hand and it is the reason he isn't coaching anywhere in college football right now.
