We've got to talk about this. Do you go in the garage, start your car, wait until you feel woozy and then start threads? You start, without a doubt, the most god awful new threads in the history of VN.

I really doubt he has to go outside

Probably parks his car in the living room and leaves the car running

Take his worst 4 years of wins and losses the entire time he coached here still tops UT's last 4 years. wins 6.5 losses 5.5

Last 4 years before Jones
W-5.75- L-6.75

You Fulmer lovers have surpassed the Bear Bryant nutjobs by a mile. He's gone, get over it. He should have been fired long before he actually was.

Firing Fulmer was a good decision. A sad one, but a good one. The bad decision was promoting Hamilton to AD as he proved more than once he was horrible at coaching searches.

If firing Fulmer was such a bad idea, why is it no other school ever swept in to snatch him up? So many job openings over the years, yet Fulmer never got one of them. Hmmmm.....

Age. Remember "the game passed him by". Every team wants the next young, brash coach.

Every team wants a coach they feel will bring the W's. Old, young...AD's just want wins. Wins generate revenue.

I would like to point out that the OP has a post to like ratio of 6.1% not very good

Fans don't want wins, they want more wins than whatever the current coach is getting. :)

I'm sure Fulmers W/N ratio would be lower if he had to continue coaching with the talent he had recruited.

Yeah, Tajh Boyd sucks. You people freakin kill me. Admit it, firing CPF was a mistake. Throw all the BS out there you want. The reason he was fired he couldnt live up to the standards he himself set. Im old enough to remember that beating Bama made a season great. Now its undefeated NC 's or else. Everyone knew that we would be 3-2 at this point. It was ok in the off season, now that it has came to pass, this "is the worst team" we've ever had. John Gruden, Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, or the great Gen. Robert Neyland would not have taken this team to Oregon and won. Sometimes you just have teams that are better than you.

Go buy you a red "A" and go pull for the best team money can buy and leave us the hell alone please.

Yep; I don't know who this guy is but he is by far the worst thread starter here.

You think Tajh Boyd would have been the cure at Tennessee?

I like Boyd, but he's not even the best player on his offense at Clemson. He's a good QB, but wouldn't be nearly as effective out of Chad Morris' offense.

So? He drove the program into the ditch and no one else has been able to get it out yet.

I have nothing against Fulmer but his time was up. Things would be MUCH worse if he had not been fired.

I am concerned about posters who feel they need to remind us daily that Phil was a long time coach with an overall winning record . Do they think we forgot ?

You're insane if you think our last 4 years would of been worse with Fulmer, and you have no facts to even remotely back up that claim.
