This response is the dumbest response I’ve ever seen on VN. You do realize that the MAJORITY of collegiate athletes (talking football, basketball, baseball specifically) smoke weed, right?
Not to mention the majority of professionals. Yet it doesn’t affect them in any negative way whatsoever. At all.
Lol. Super fine tuned athletes put nothing in their bodies that will inhibit performance. It 100% affects performance. Hell, inhaled allergens affect performance. Also, you're actually trying to compare a cheese puff eating couch potato to a an athlete. Like I said, I'm all.for legalization but claiming it's not.bad for you is quite naive. One could argue it doesn’t affect the lungs enough to inhibit athletic performance. I’d say the lungs of someone who trains every day vs someone who sits on their keister binge-watching Netflix eating Cheetos are drastically different in their ability to combat and overcome irritants. There’s too much real world evidence to say otherwise.

Like I said, I believe people be able to put whatever they wish I to their bodies but to pretend it doesn't have negative affects is disingenuous. Pot is not good for your lungs.Seriously, this. Putting things in your lungs, other than air, is bad. Your lungs are designed to bring oxygen into the body and transfer it to the blood. When you fill your lungs with smoke, of any kind, it decreases the efficiency of the lungs. The tip-top athletes likely don't smoke anything.
Ahem, BS. Some do, most don’t.This response is the dumbest response I’ve ever seen on VN. You do realize that the MAJORITY of collegiate athletes (talking football, basketball, baseball specifically) smoke weed, right?

You wouldn’t believe the amount of players that smoke it right before games. I’ve really learned the last few years that there are more than a few world class athletes that smoke before workouts. I am talking elite, championship level athletes.I agree with everything in your post. Weed does affect athletic performance. It's not good for your lungs. I agree many use it, think it should be legal. But if you're striving to to be the best, fine tuned athlete, you don't want to smoke, especially regularly.
We are talking about football players that are giving up their bodies in practice, and games. I can guarantee 65% of College & NFL athletes smoke CBD or the real deal. The NBA is like 85%Seriously, this. Putting things in your lungs, other than air, is bad. Your lungs are designed to bring oxygen into the body and transfer it to the blood. Oh I would believe it, and I still believe it's not good for your lungs. It's common sense. You wouldn’t believe the amount of players that smoke it right before games. I’ve really learned the last few years that there are more than a few world class athletes that smoke before workouts. I am talking elite, championship level athletes.

Estimates on NBA players using marijuana: 50-85 percent
That one doesn’t specify “smoking” weed and also lists CBD so who knows.
But also:
Martellus Bennett estimates that nearly 90 percent of NFL players smoke marijuana
Where have I claimed it wasn't prevalent. I 100% believe many do it. I still believe it has an affect on performance. To what degree is arguable.
Brown: At least 50 percent of NFL players smoke pot
The World's Best Athletes Smoke Weed. Here's Proof. What Now?
I’m the naive one.
I’m not saying it doesn’t affect the lungs in some capacity. But I think you’re drastically overestimating it’s affect on athletes and drastically underestimating how many actually partake.
It’s gonna be Georgia. Secking wouldn’t be here talking about him if it wasn’t.Who cares about drug testing? Weed should be legal anyway. And it’s not like UGA or any other SEC school, save for Vandy, actually enforces any kind of positive test. Honey Badger failed a bunch of tests.....still played....made it to the league....has been awesome in the league. Almost like smoking weed doesn’t affect your ability to play a sport in any way whatsoever. I’d say LSU has about the same enforcement system as every other team.
But back to AG talk. Where do you think he ends up?
I hope it is and the next time a UGA fan brings up academics we need to pounce on them. There has to be a corrupt academic admission process to get a kid into school that does not go to school. Where is Jan Kemp when we need her? It’s gonna be Georgia. Secking wouldn’t be here talking about him if it wasn’t.
