'17 GA ATH DeAngelo Gibbs

Does Warrior getting more playing time as a freshman help with Gibbs?

I doubt it. If DG was visiting Knoxville and looking as though he was actually still considering us while he sees each schools season play out, it might have an impact. IMO his decision is made. Going on 7 months since he's been to UT. He bought what Kirby was selling.

He decides to visit, maybe things change.

Depends on the recruit. Some won't take visits if they have decided. Others take all the trips they can.

Or they decide that since they have been to a school so many times, that their is nothing new to see. I believe Nigel Warrior said this exact thing last year when it was a long time before he made a return visit. Around that time, people were convinced he was going to Alabama.

Then late he was going to Auburn. I remember the outrage when a couple of CB picks switched to Auburn. But, for those of us who patiently waited to see what he would decide, we were rewarded with his commitment and signing with the Vols.

None of this means that Gibbs will do the same thing. But none of what you suggests means that he has already made up his mind to commit and sign with Georgia.

Just stop. He doesn't understand facts.

Most folks go to source VQ literally just said the other day UT is behind SEVERAL schools for Gibbs. Add it to all the other indicators and unfortunately the facts today say he gone.

If VQ says he's a Vol in the next 15 minutes, we know he's likely committing to UGA. LOL

This is your quote from yesterday right before Ty committed. You put no faith in VQ when it's potentially good news but take it for gospel when it's bad. Troll on.

BTW, the Atlanta Journal released their top in-state players list last week, and it featured Gibbs. It said Tennessee and Georgia are the main two schools contending for his signature. I've not seen any real indication that any other school is really in the mix.

Gibbs could have let Reed sign with UT as it was a done deal. He didn't. He introduced him to the UGA coaches.

Gibbs hasn't been to UTs campus going on 7 months.

VQ gave their opinion.

IMO, I see what I see.

Seeing how well our secondary is battling for the top 2 spots I doubt Reed would have played and I think he made a good choice to go to Georgia. And if Gibbs is as good as warrior he doesn't have to worry about early playing time here.

When Leb was Leb and not Crunch, was he THIS negative. I remember him pushing his agenda about in-state players and not taking lower ranked early commits only to cut them loose later in the process, but even when he is on ignore, it seems he takes delight in reporting/surmising/hoping that we missed on a big target. I don't remember him hoping that we do poorly in recruiting, unless it, in his mind, proved him right about something.

Unfortunate news. Maybe he'll change his mind, I never thought I'd see a " he gone" in this thread
