"Smart still trying to find his way

Word is first-year Georgia head coach Kirby Smart is struggling with his overall management style of the football program and its effect on the operational aspect of the team. The Bulldogs are 3-2, and though this is a rebuilding project where the Nick Saban disciple has an inexperienced true freshman QB, an underwhelming O-line and only one starter back in his front seven, this is an issue worth keeping eye on."

No it certainly didn't hurt but there have been a lot of little things that have helped our cause here.

There is some interesting "issues" occurring currently in the ga locker room...it has been benefiting us in a major way over the last three or so weeks w in state recruits.
Like after the game? Or just players rumbling and recruits hearing? Most don't know recruits, even on unofficial visits, are in the locker room right after the game. Kirby may have made an ass of himself after the Hail Mary. Just a thought...

Shocked I tell you.

I saw in a thread on the football forum that Smart has the loyalty of the younger guys but the older ones dont like him much. It has created a dynamic in the locker room apparently so the team is kind of split. Not sure if conjecture or tidbits of fact, but sounds plausible to me.

Excuses, excuses. Dawgs are always loaded and always s*** the bed. That's the bottom line that Dawg fans always try to navigate around. Why? UT and UF have better coaches. The other bottom line they try to navigate around.

This whole quote lost all credibility with referring to Georgia in a rebuilding project. A team loaded with talent, that just got rid of a coach who won a ton of games is in a rebuild? Give me a freaking break.

I'm sure this has been noted already but having his former high school teammate Mykelle McDaniel on our team (plus Nigel Warrior of course) will probably help us too. I feel like the Grayson high school connection between McDaniel and Gibbs isn't brought up.

I said in the off-season Kirby would be a failure at Georgia.

The guy just doesn't have IT.

Gibbs played at Peachtree Ridge. He transferred to Grayson this year. Never played with McDaniel.

I would too after getting hosed on that pathetic call. Targeting my ass he led with with his shoulder on a clean hard hit. Then listening to those two doofus announcers saying he should be ejected made my blood boil too.

It probably was but the hit on Berry was much more obvious targeting. The hit by #12 was textbook for why the rule was invented in the first place.

I agree. Number 12 was playing dirty and getting away with it on his own home field and then celebrated like a jackass.

And the refs.... did.... nothing. That disgusted me beyond belief. Then when they called targeting on Warrior I wanted to grab a quick flight to TX and ask the refs if they actually knew the rules or were just doing what the little voice in their earpiece told them to. Unbelievable.

In order to protect myself I will leave specific details out as to not tip off any of my friends inside the dawg world that I am sharing information outside our "domain"

What I will say is that these reports are pretty spot on from others. There is a good deal of tension between the more senior players and Kirby and his philosophy on practices. The guy is set in his ways and it's his way or the highway. there is tension building and it has spilled out in meetings etc...even more so in closed practices. All of this is being felt by recruits and kids that have committed....he is trying to make a change there but as we are well aware that comes with some heartburn.

I'll elaborate some more when things settle down a bit.

In meantime let's get ready for a big weekend in ktown. And let's roll the tide!!!!
