just like when Holloman and Henderson left their team?

And ?

After I said that here, it was also reported on Rivals and 247 by their staff. And, Oneida (JH's mom) tweeted they had meetings with coaches/administration

from 247-From what I am told Holloman and JaQuan Henderson (UT Commit) are no longer playing. It was an internal team issue that happened on Wednesday and I am told that neither will be playing for Newton again as I understand it.
Without digging too much into this issue. I can tell you this much.
It will not effect either going to the next level at any school and will not effect Holloman as Army All-American.

I was just talking with a friend about the Berry hit and he said it wasn't targeting. I told him he was insane. That was targeting 101.

My question is, if it was called targeting, would the fumble still have counted?

Helmet to helmet and targeting a defenseless player are different. Should have been a foul but not an ejection.

I think it would be a dead ball once the penalty occurred. Tn ball at the spot of the foul plus the yardage. Think of it as a punt return, if the PR gets interfered with, if he fumbles, it doesn't matter due to the infraction.

"ARTICLE 4. Penalties for all fouls by the kicking team other than kickcatch interference (Rule 6-4) during a free kick play or a scrimmage kick play in which the ball crosses the neutral zone (except field goal attempts) are enforced either at the previous spot (Exception: Penalty option is a safety for fouls in Team A’s end zone.) or at the spot where the subsequent dead ball belongs to Team B, at the option of Team B. (Rules 6-1-8 and 6-3-13)"

Looks like they treat kick-catch interference differently. Since we didn't recover the loose ball, I think our only option would have been a re-kick.

Good find but is Tn Team B? If so, this states that Tn gets the ball at the dead ball spot.

Receiving team is team B, so yes. But it says "at the spot where the subsequent dead ball belongs to Team B." Since we lost the ball during play, and team A recovered, we wouldn't have that option by my interpretation because the dead ball wasn't still ours. Had we retained possession, we have either option.

This whole quote lost all credibility with referring to Georgia in a rebuilding project. A team loaded with talent, that just got rid of a coach who won a ton of games is in a rebuild? Give me a freaking break.

Can't believe people are trying to use this excuse for Georgia's play. Their last five recruiting classes, per 247, were ranked 6, 12, 8, 5, and 8.

The ball was lost in the act of the foul, so it would be our possession at the point of contact. TAMU got possession after the penalty occurred.

I would say that is why the SEC has the best refs as they know the rules, but, I can't do that with a straight face. SEC refs are really bad.
