It probably was but the hit on Berry was much more obvious targeting. The hit by #12 was textbook for why the rule was invented in the first place.
I was just talking with a friend about the Berry hit and he said it wasn't targeting. I told him he was insane. That was targeting 101.
My question is, if it was called targeting, would the fumble still have counted?

But which one is true? Would our coach have choice of rekick or take the 15 yards?

Guys, I'm telling you our victory over UGA has got into his head. Even Bartow got that feeling about him. I would bet Gibbs waits until NSD to make his committment decision now. That's just my gut feeling.
If we had lost to UGA that may not have been the case & he would have stayed UGA all the way. Things do change & this has now changed just by sheer timing for this recruit. Thanks
I don't know how they could award us the ball since the kicking team ended up with possession before the ball was dead, so it seems to me like they would have to re-kick. If we ended up with the ball, then the 15 yards would have been added. Someone, correct me if I'm wrong.
It's more than the football field for Gibbs. He is going to Ga.
Source? That's just your opinion right? Things have changed lately. He's not dead set on UGA now. I know because Bartow from 247 Sports said he spoke with him sometime after the UT-UGA game & he seemed different & now we're back in the fold more & could even be slightly leaning to be the favorite right now. Things do change quickly sometimes with these recruits though. Thanks!
Nope, not opinion.

I hope you're right, but I'll have to see it to believe it. I've heard similar things about the deal being done with Georgia. It doesn't even seem like our staff has been trying to get him back on campus.
So, are you one of his family members or something? If not, then I can't agree with your statement. VIP access for 247 Sports says otherwise through Bartow as of late.
He might still go on to be a Bulldog but things lately have changed. Did you get that part? Another poster backs me up on this too.
Gibbs seems to have that UT win over UGA playing mind games with him when 1 month ago we were all sure 80%-90% "he was gone" to be a Bulldog.
I don't believe you're so sure yourself unless you're somebody that personally knows the guy. You'd have a lot to do to prove that though. Thanks!
