'19 GA ATH Owen Pappoe (Auburn signee)

Beyond tired of these "insiders" around here. Pretty sure Atlanta said this guy was ours.

One thing I like to ask myself is what is the benefit of someone with actual knowledge posting on an anonymous message board? What do they get from posting here? Maybe they're just extremely well connected, very kind, and have copious amounts of time to enlighten all of us outside the scene.

Or maybe the truth is they are people with absolutely nothing going on in their lives and it's easy to lie and get a little bit of 'feel good' attention by posting on here and pretending to be important. After all the recruiting services have done the heavy lifting, they can usually do the job of getting a recruit's interest to 2 or 3 different programs. From there, you can throw anything at the wall, and have anywhere from 33-50% chance of looking like a genius. Oh and don't forget, if you're wrong, you always have the cop-out of saying something unforeseen happened and blah blah blah 3 amigos, bag man, told our coaches this or that.

We're a fanbase starving for success, I myself have been guilty of grasping for straws of positivity despite my better judgement. I'd love to see the recruiting forum transition into a film breakdown and technique based forum without all of the faux insider BS.

Prepared to get raked over the coals for this, but that's my 2 cents.

Tbf OP has never gave any inclination that he was anything but committed to the Barn. Has never waivered on that. It was us that made it something it apparently wasn’t.

When we steal a 5 star from Auburn on the eve of signing day instead of the other way around is when you will know things have truly changed around here.

I’m no insider, just a long time observer of recruiting. I said this almost a month ago in this thread, and now it seems that things haven’t changed all that much.

He milked the money men dry...that's what happened. He never had any intention of coming here...eff him.
Eff that teenager who changed his mind to pursue his dreams at another school who was never committed to us anyway!
😂😂

But seriously dap dan. Take a lap

Generating drama so he can "shock the world" when he commits and he's doing a really good job of it.

Plus the added benefit for him and his buds sitting back laughing hard at a lot of you right now...

Well played OP, well played.

Atlanta by all accounts is a great man, this isn't personal by any means. With that being said, his misses are starting to pile up.
It’s certainly not just him. It’s just the “insider” thing drives me nuts! How many times do these guys have to miss before people realize they don’t know Jack. They get second hand info just like the rest of us, then they make these predictions that could go either way. Then when it falls through it turns into “it’s a fluid situation” or “things change”. No, you just didn’t know anything from the beginning.

Look guys don't be foolish we all now recruiting is all about deals, promises, high dollar handshakes, and God knows what else, sometimes we get outbid s**t happens move on to the next

Thanks for remembering me👍🏽..recruits come in every year and get beat by someone better than them, recruiting is fluid we cannot control where 17 and 18 year olds want to play but to answer your question “nothing”..yesterday i speaking on frustration just like everyone else on this board does because occasionally I would like to win at something concerning this team whether that’s finishing positive in the season or getting a good hire that other teams want, not hand me downs like you’re content with.

You're right; please forgive my ignorance, man. I was under the impression that getting Phillip Fulmer back in charge of our athletics was a win for us; but, I see now, according to you, it must have been a loss, since "occasionally I would like to win at something concerning this team". Yeah, that wasn't a win.

And him hiring Jeremy Pruitt, a man with multiple rings, who is considered maybe the best defensive coach in the country, while also being considered one the best recruiters in the country... what a loser that guy is!

And while yes, ending with losses to Mizzou and Vandy sucked big time...beating #23 Auburn and #11 Kentucky sucked more, I guess; something very few of us thought possible. Another loss for Pruitt, beating two top 25 teams in his first season, coming off a season where we didn't win a single sec game.

And don't get me started on Terry Fair, and how big a loser that guy is; that is correct, right...he's not very "impressive", according to you? Taking two true freshmen, AT CORNERBACK (one of the hardest positions to play in all of football), and helping them hold their own and flashing all season. Another big ole 'L' there.

And let's not forget, being in good shape to land maybe a top 10 recruiting class, coming off a 5-7 season...hell, that's a major loss. Who in the hell would want that?!

You're right, dude...I have seen the light. Damn it all to hell!!! Thank you so much for all of your insight, and in helping me realize how big of losers we truly are. I owe you so much.

Back at ya.

Are you seriously this dense? Go find his post guaranteeing him to the Vols.

Some people really shouldn't be following recruiting. They don't have the intestinal fortitude.

If you think Wanya Morris is going to lay down from recruiting this kid, then y’all are wrong. I’ll bet come tomorrow, he will be back into his face again asking why?
