'19 GA ATH Owen Pappoe (Auburn signee)

This is incredible. Wonder what AU did to convince him to stay? Especially with Gus on the hot seat and the whole staff could change next year.

Here’s where I’m at. I’ve been chatting with a dude that’s known OP since 8th grade. This isn’t sitting well with him either.

OP has been on campus probably more times than any other player in this class. The OV was a formality, it certainly wasn’t going to make his mind up or not, especially considering that many, including me, had heard this went down a couple weeks ago. I don’t think the cancelled OV is really the big deal it seems to be.

Secondly (according to the dude I’m talking to) this was the first known contact with OP AU has had since he was there for the UT game. I’ve maintained that this would happen at the last possible second if at all. I’m not ready to write this off yet.

You're right; please forgive my ignorance, man. I was under the delusion that getting Phillip Fulmer back in charge of our athletics was a win for us; but, I see now, according to you, it must have been a loss, since "occasionally I would like to win at something concerning this team". Yeah, that wasn't a win.

And him hiring Jeremy Pruitt, a man with multiple rings, who is considered maybe the best defensive coach in the country, while also being considered one the best recruiters in the country... what a loser that guy is!

And while yes, ending with losses to Mizzou and Vandy sucked big time...beating #23 Auburn and #11 Kentucky sucked more, I guess; something very few of us thought possible. Another loss for Pruitt, beating two top 25 teams in his first season, coming off a season where we didn't win a single sec game.

And don't get me started on Terry Fair, and how big a loser that guy is; that is correct, right...he's not very "impressive", according to you? Taking two true freshmen, AT CORNERBACK (one of the hardest positions to play in all of football), and helping them hold their own and flashing all season. Another big ole 'L' there.

And let's not forget, being in good shape to land maybe a top 10 recruiting class, coming off a 5-7 season...hell, that's a major loss. Who in the hell would want that?!

You're right, dude...I have seen the light. Damn it all to hell!!! Thank you so much for all of your insight, and in helping me realize how big of losers we truly are. I owe you so much.

Back at ya.

•If all of these points are wins for you then we are doomed,Phillip Fulmer Being AD is good, but another haslam will be there soon then what?

•Sure they was two good wins, but how did we finish the season? We finished 5-7 and now have a 3 year losing streak to “VANDY” the team quit, some were gased and just did wanna play in a “sorry a$$” bowl game” so those two wins are shadowed by our end of the season failures to get at-least to a bowl game, you’re spliting hairs here, this isn’t tennessee football sorry.

•Really glad you brought up terry fair again even though this topic of discussion was almost 24 hours ago,its just more proof that you live in the past kinda like when it comes to UT success does it still feel like 98’ to you? I am living in the now and this isn’t tennessee football.I’m still waiting for terry fair to teach our CB’s how to look back and locate a ball to break up a pass up,hell even watching the recievers eyes and hands to maybe locate where the ball might be caught to deflect it,not impressed so far sorry.i like what he done for the university in the past but his stats or whatever he did when he played does zero for us now,it’s kind of ridiculous that you’re even using that a point in this discussion.

•Pruitt maybe a good “defensive mind” but the jury is still out on him as a head coach I’ll give him more time he needs it.

•As for this recruiting class if you think it finishes in the top ten well then..I tip my hat to you for you being strapped in this roller coaster of a ride to disappointments for this university as I am myself but that doesn’t mean I believe in Santa clause.

I know it sucks if we miss on this guy but we've got to remember what Pruitt said... "dont worry about the ones we dont get". Also, I believe we just gotta get good enough to sho improvement on the field. If so, recruits will flood in next year and the year after!

Go Vols!

He is gone

“The timing of this one is different. And it’s the type of tweet with pics from an inhome with emphatic comments. Still trying to get a feel for what happened with TN in there today.”

He thought staying with his Auburn commitment would get him his 5th star back.
Sounds crazy but it just might work.

Not likely, but let’s ride some conspiracy theory for a moment.

The Tennessee coaches see him before the Auburn coaches. Everything is great, mentions the pressure from Auburn fans, incoming visit that evening and the loss of his “flip moment” with all of the reports.

His mom, meets the staff, is agreeable to everything Tennessee, and a pact, possibly signed in blood, we’ll never know, to drop the OV, reaffirm his commitment to Auburn to silence the noise, and then flip at his all star game. OV taken after that time.

Not saying that’s what happened, but that’s what happened... maybe

Id be down with being in the other side of a Quay Walker commitment deal.

Lol.

Don't see that happening here tho. But I'm for it.
