As to AV, he's said nothing on the OC hire that's been wrong. All he said was they had made a choice. He said he didn't want to spoil the party for them. Who's to say that's not the case? Here’s where I’m at. I’ve been chatting with a dude that’s known OP since 8th grade. This isn’t sitting well with him either.

OP has been on campus probably more times than any other player in this class. The OV was a formality, it certainly wasn’t going to make his mind up or not, especially considering that many, including me, had heard this went down a couple weeks ago. I don’t think the cancelled OV is really the big deal it seems to be.

Secondly (according to the dude I’m talking to) this was the first known contact with OP AU has had since he was there for the UT game. I’ve maintained that this would happen at the last possible second if at all. I’m not ready to write this off yet.
