'19 GA ATH Owen Pappoe (Auburn signee)

If we can hold on to Pruitt and actually start winning and competing for some decent bowls and Champs the kind of recruiting he could do. It is fairly easy to negative recruit UT right now. Sadly enough.

IMO it’s easier to negative recruit AU right now bc Malzahn is dead man walking; very good chance he’s not there in 2020. Which is why I think Pruitt closes this one out.

Any chance we are in on Henry To'oto'o and Justin Eboigbe and Pruitt is not wasting anymore time or resources on Pappoe? If he wants to come at this point and he visits again you obviously would want him but maybe there is more focus on other players at this point.

Any chance the VFL on Grayson helps out in this situation? I would think Pappoe would listen to what he has to say about the real situation going on at Auburn.

It’s just a tweet....

Why do you think Gus moved up his in home so quickly? Do you think Pruitt quits recruiting OP because he tweeted this or do you think he recruits him Harder because he knows AU just out their best offer on the table? AU was told they were out, basically flipped him back, now Pruitt’s turn. If this was the night before ESD I could understand some people’s reactions, Gus shot his load and gave Pruitt two entire weeks to respond. You gotta trust Pruitt, this is the big boy recruiting TN wanted when they hired him.

This isn’t over, it just started.

Exclusive video of Gus and staff shooting their load.... You saw here first, on VolNation...

agreed.

but i think it's safe to say it's not a sure thing by any stretch, and it might be wise to prepare for OP staying put....that's not to say we should/will stop recruiting him.

but the "grayson 3" or three amigos talk can probably be put to bed at this point.

Last night was discouraging but honestly it's just a reminder what a sine wave recruiting can be. Month to month, week to week, day to day even. Yeah he's seems all Auburn now but there's still two weeks before early signing day. A lot can change between now and then.

He might not end up a Volunteer, but even if not, we're still going to get good players. And maybe what matters more is the guys we do get will be developed to their max potential.

In any event... we might miss on some guys, but despite how all momentum feels lost now, we're not going to miss on everyone. Pappoe, To'Oto'too'ttoo'o't', Henry, Marshall, and Chris Russell.... we're getting some of those guys.

Everything I had heard on radio and read on sites had Pappoe as a lock to flip from Auburn to Vols.
Swain and Mathews, both very tight with Fulmer, all but guaranteed it.
So, Owen saying yesterday that he’s now 100% committed to Auburn has to sting.

He maybe just didn't want the news out yet.

I’ve said all along Gus is overrated and will be fired soon from Auburn.

I don’t see any indication where recruits thinks he’s the real deal.

He lost to Jeremy Pruitt who had a sh*t roster.

😮

Raise your hand if you realized that was Alonzo Mourning.

We need to win more to attract better players.

Chicken 🐔 or egg 🥚 situation.

well, yeah. throw in Marshall, Russell, Henry...yeah, we're in on a lot of kids.

Henry is committed, but he's getting pressed by Arkansas, hard right now, so i think we're gonna have to fight to keep him.

HT is far from over since he's not signing til Feb and by all accounts is us or Bama, so that's not gonna be easy....and most think Bama leads.

Marshall seems like a good flip opportunity but we're not the only ones in that battle either.

we're still trying wtih Bogle, but who knows with that kid.......

@Ron Swanson was right about one thing, this is just getting started. it's been all fun and games up to this point. two weeks til ESD, seasons are over, coaches on the road, final OV's being taken...........yeah, it's literally a battle royal out there right now, and it's going to be very interesting.

A lot of kids don't listen to the signs. We know that Gus is probably done after next season unless he has a successful season next year. This kid and many others all over the country only see the short term. "they told me I have a good chance to start and they need me to win because we are building a championship team." Soon to realize that when they get on campus, they're not as up to speed as players that have been in the program longer or other more talented recruits that were promised the same. They get upset and transfer. Especially, if the HC is fired.

One thing I will say though... and I don't want this misconstrued, because I would obviously rather all the Auburn targets were after to come to us (

Ramel, Wanya).... but if a 'cruit does spurn us, I'm semi okay with them doing so for Auburn.

Let them be good enough to start dealing UGA late season L's.

We don't lose to recruits to barn anymore since JP arrived. I still think we got this.
