'19 GA ATH Owen Pappoe (Auburn signee)

According to AV the door has shut.
All but over seems appropriate. Unless... you want to share?
AV also said he was a silent and a lock. Nothing against AV, I appreciate his info and believe he's legit and sharing good info. But that info changes, that's recruiting. Couple days ago OP was a silent and a lock and last night he became a lock to Auburn and cancelled his OV to UT. What's to say things won't change again? They will.

Barn gonna Barn
I know that, but what exactly do they do? The other shocking thing to me is that the bagmen at Auburn are still willing to put forward plenty of funds to get kids like this, yet they just made Gus sign a contract that leaves him as a dead man walking. Those two things just do not add up. Do they know Gus is going to fail, with or without the elite recruits, so they want to make sure the roster stay stacked for the next guy?

Why is it that no matter what coaching staff Tennessee is never the school that seals the deal in the last weeks to signing day. We are always the ones played by other coaching staffs and recruits.

He’s signing in 13 days. This one is over. Auburn in-home vi$it is why momma and daddy all of a sudden shut it down for him. Like I said, I didn’t think Pappoe would take that bait but he did. Auburn’s staff also completely made stuff up about Pruitt and our D-staff as well.

I enjoy AV. Not sure if you're trying to reincorce his legitimacy but I believe every word he says. Guys like him make the board exciting. My point to NPP was, if you know something, share because the comment sounds like facts, when the real facts say opposite. Personally, I hope he flips a hat on signing day.

I hope this is not a disappointing signing day again

Just another example of how fluid recruiting is and there are no certainties. This kid has had UT, Clemson, UGA, Auburn etc all out front at one point in his recruitment. This is big boy recruiting for a big time player. Tomorrow UT might be the leader again. And the day after it’ll be Bama. It’s how the game is played. Nothing is certain.
No, Ron, you've got this all wrong. Once these kids decide on something you may as well write it in stone. They never change their mind. There are zero influences that may sway them. They are like rocks!

Didn't mean to call you out personally. There are no facts or certainties in recruiting, thats my point. Good, solid info today is worthless tomorrow with some recruits. OP is one of them and that's just part of recruiting high profile players. It's a wild ride with ups and downs until a signature is dry.

I just would like to know exactly what Auburn does to make recruits pull things like this. Do they promise their parents $100,000 a year for the rest of their life? When these abrupt changes happen, it always seems to be with Auburn, and always completely out of the blue, And the recruit shuts everything completely down without giving coaches that he has known for years a chance to talk to him. Do they threaten to kill family members? It is so weird how it happens, but it always happens this exact way.
What do you mean "sudden changes?" He never decommitted from Auburn. Wanya openly trying to flip him and Gus drama was the basis of a lot of speculation, but nothing actually changed with his recruitment status. Recruits take visits, officially and unofficially, all the time to schools to schools after they have verbally committed and they follow through on those original commitments. This is nothing new.

I could post what I’ve been told. I could post what I think happened, is happening and might happen. But I’m just going to be mocked and told I need help. So why bother. Look I get it. Everyone thinks no one knows anything. But you guys worship some posters and treat others like neighbor that keeps his yard messy. So why bother?

Hopefully the kid stays healthy and plays well( except against us). The irony to me
Is that he is potentially taking risk in a coaching turnover that could effect his future earnings if he turns out to be NFL caliber.

Who knows if they really just took the money, but I hope for OPs sake they didn’t take petty cash instead of a big payday in 3-4 years. We know Pruitt can develop defensive studs that get paid on Sundays.

Too me it’s obvious OP wants to play for Pruitt but his parents can’t resist the Barn.

Exactly. I still think there's a shot but this one was unexpected. Makes you wonder what was said to really push him. Still gonna watch and hope he flips a hat, although with his character, I don't think he'd do that to anyone.

Aint like that with me man. I clicked the "follow" button with you, quite some time ago. I take your word if you say you can't share; that's just me. You are right though. Why bother when they gonna try and crucify you over it. If it weren't for the nuggets, this would be nothing but a copy/paste form of VQ littered with opinions. Thanks for the info.

Easy IMO.. We haven't been good consistently in these kids lifetime.
