'19 GA ATH Owen Pappoe (Auburn signee)

Reading that article makes me depressed.

Not only does my team suck, but now I know that a bunch of barely literate kids get a bunch of cash payments AND a free education while I'm saddled with a decades worth of debt.
Be glad for what you have....some of those kids would rather not be in their situation. Some won't make the NFL.....their degree does not guarantee employment. You may make more over your lifetime than most of those kids.

That’s what UGA was telling him and he didn’t see it.

Btw, just a little bit, a familiar name might not be at UGA much longer. Still on the team today and you guys know I don’t put people’s struggles on here as I hope they all succeed but watch Deangelo Gibbs. If they part, I’d say TN is 1st choice...
What's going on with him. He was on the team, then off, then back on. Is it personal stuff?

Costs aren't contained per individual. The burden of loans is exponentially growing. We can support college for all easily its a matter of electing officials that will fight for that so that my generation & many after us won't have to worry about paying rent or their student loan payment every month. We are unable to get ahead because of a system predicated on lying to 18 year old kids that college was the only way. There is much discussion to be had, but probably not here. I just went on a rant, sorry. I and many others are unashamedly passionate about completely eliminating the burden of student loans & won't stop until it is done.

I know! I was hoping he would commit to us, hopefully we still have a shot.

Costs aren't contained for anyone because of supply and demand. Pushing more and more money toward education without regard to ROI is exactly what has created the problem. I don't expect you to believe me, but electing officials that spend even more will only increase the problem, not fix it.

It is possible to fix, but the answer starts with identifying and eliminating costs, not increasing the money spent...we spend too much already. Education is simply conveying information. Technology should make that essentially free, but that won't happen until we rethink how we get educated and why. If the 'why' is 'to get a degree', you've already failed. The only meaningful 'why' is 'to become qualified for a job'. I won't address the 'how' because I know we have some educators on here, but the 'how' probably needs to dramatically change as well.

Bad move if he sticks with Auburn. He will have a brand new coaching staff his sophomore year. Auburn has to win the West next year for Gus to stick around

Step up then guys. Y'all seemed to have it licked. I'm sure that there are some recruiting 'facilitators' that hang around this board that could give you some guidance in the best way to drop 5 and 6 figure numbers on these guys.

You had no marketable talent that was considered valuable. Stay angry, its hilarious.

Man, I just want pruitt to be like Frank Underwood. Ruthless and willing to do anything to get what he wants!
