'19 GA ATH Owen Pappoe (Auburn signee)

We could use his speed at that level of the defense for sure
Man, I would be ecstatic with this class if we keep everybody, except Cox and add Pappoe and Moore. I see multiple freshmen who will shine in this class next year and Pappoe is a beast who may not start right away, but will contribute greatly

I think that there are some quarterbacks out there that can make it always matter.
true. but not all O lines are created equally. a pass rush would help the secondary. i don't care how good they are, no one can cover 4+ seconds a pop.

yeah it would. and you get JJ Peterson on the inside.

may not matter who's in the secondary at that point.
Redshirt Peterson, let him catch up this year. Next year , wooooo. Crouch, bogle, JJ Peterson, pappoe, to,oto'o. Build a future. 😁

oh, i'd love to get all those guys.

don't see it happening though.

I am just dreaming. It could happen tho minus one or two. I would still be ecstatic.
i'm not real confident in Bogle. i think the heart strings mom and sis pull are tough to overcome. i think we have hte best chance of anyone not named Miami though.

i think Pappoe sticks at Auburn, not sure i'm ready to start believing in that one.

Crouch...i think we have as good a shot as any, though i'm sure we have work to do on the field to really land him.

T'oto'o...i think he winds up at Oregon or Bama in the end.

So, we miss on everyone except for Crouch, and we still have a ways to go in landing him?

dunno. i don't think we have "a long ways to go" with Crouch. i think what we do on the field this season will go a long way with him choosing us.

and while my confidence has waned on Bogle, if his mom and/or sis come on a visit with him, that would probably bode well for us. if they stay home, that probably doesn't. so that's something to keep an eye on.

and like i said, i'm just not ready to get in the pappoe boat....belive that when i see it.

to'oto'o...i think we've done a great job recruiting him. really do. just not sure it's enough to keep him out of Tuscaloosa. or to get him off the West coast, which if he stays out West, i think it's probably oregon based on his top 5.

That's a long way to go...what we do on the field. I agree, and I agree with what you said about Bogle. He leaves Miami, he's a Vol, gonna be tough though, as you said.

But, I disagree with Pappoe and To'oto'o. I truly believe that Owen Pappoe wants to be a Vol. I believe that Auburn has done a GREAT job, along with the help of every other school, including us unfortunately, of negative recruiting against us. He is searching for that one reason to put him over the top and get on board. He loved us before he loved anyone else, I believe that; we just haven't shown him anything to prove we are a worthy enough football team to have him, that's on us. I believe, moreso than with Crouch, if we fight our tails off on the field this season, and continue fighting for him, and Wanya sticks (which I have NO WORRIES), Pappoe is a Vol. Auburn made it seem so great, i can only imagine what all they used against us; and both them and Pappoe himself probably promised to flip Wanya, and that ain't happening.

And To'oto'o...I'll go with what the man himself said. It's us or Bama till it's not.

well that's certainly a more optimistic view than mine. and i'm certainly not opposed to you being right.

And with To'oto'o, it's not just that last interview he did, saying UT and Bama are leaders. I've seen other interviews with him, and its the same...UT and Bama. Not one more than the other, but both...over everyone else. That's who he talks the most about. Long way to go though.

that's fine. and like i said, i do think we've done a very good job of recruiting him. and we can do that and he still goes to Bama....i think he has a really good relationship with Tosh. as good (at least) as he does with Simon, both of whom are de la salle alum.

i'm definitely not trying to argue against him coming here. lol. just not sold that he is.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what anyone thinks. The coaches will continue to recruit the kids they want until a signature is on a LOI(whether to our school or another).

Was just talking recruiting overall this morning and something caught my ear. Talking to a guy around Grayson and he brought up Pappoe. He said “some murmurings around OP (as he calls him). He said, not happy again. He isn’t happy about the happenings around Jakai Clark (low 3 star center) and AU pushing him away. He feels AU took Clark (April) to secure Pappoe’s commitment in May. It was obvious to everyone, apparently not obvious to OP. Remember, OP got upset with UGA after Kevin Harris tried to commit and they said no, you must workout first.

So, with that said, I said, ok? Is he is looking? He said AU trying to smooth it over but he’s far from all in at this point, and the door isn’t wide open but big enough for someone to walk in. I asked who do you think is most likely to flip him right now?He said, Tennessee.
