Nope. If you think my point was to ridicule, you take yourself way too seriously. I was just pointing out a new term to add to all of our other VNisms. You know, like pocket presents and peddle stool, and all the others. Not everything is an insult. Sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself.

Ok, man; you're right, the situation has changed. However, one thing that hasn't changed, is me being glad you're not our coach to make such a request of the kid.

yeah, you right--- but I kind of totally believe the kid on his tweets and how everything went down with Butch... from what all that is coming out about Lyle, I wouldn't put it past him and why would this kid go into so much specific detail and not waver about this if it weren't true, or most of it true...

Some of you are way too wrapped up in this ****. Please, pull that stick out of your ass and try to remember this is just a message board. It's more productive to offer a counter-argument rather than resort to being nasty. Hell, I could go toe to toe with the insults, but what would be the point?

No stick at all, just a "counter-argument" to something i believe makes little sense; and since this is indeed a message board, I was under the impression I'm allowed to do that.
And just think, you are insulted by me just being honest with you, I'm truly glad you are not in the position to make THIS decision, because I disagree with you; now think if I offered something to you that I really didn't want to, all in hopes of obtaining something/someone else by using you (the same thing Auburn done with him)...think how insulted you would be then, with that dishonesty.

I can't/won't speak for Clark, but that is exactly how I would look at it. I'm good enough to be offered by the team that just smoked you, but I'm not good enough for you to offer?!

You’re really heavy on this “team that just smoked you” tagline. You think kids are too stupid to realize every season is different? Let me axe you this, why isn’t this juggernaut in play for the best kid out of their OWN STATE...and we are?

We're not talking about Darnell Wright, we're talking about Jakai Clark, two separate and different people, with two separate and different recruitments.
Also, yes, each season is different, big differences, just like the big differences in a full-ride scholarship and having to pay one's own way.
And about those big differences between a full ride and PWO, I have no question that these kids are nowhere near stupid enough to not know the difference between the two. From the dumbest Nose Guard in the hood or trailer park, to the smartest Quarterback in the suburbs, these kids know the difference in the way "Full Ride" sounds, and the way "Walk On" sounds.
And as far as me saying, "got smoked"...did we, or did we not? As much as it makes me want to puke to have to say it.

Well... there won't be a Grier or Sills or Jennings on that offense next year, and the grad transfers that made the defense bearable will also be gone... tie that in with the rich, long-lived WV tradition of being a middling program in a weak conference and that's a good chunk of your answer
