'21 GA CB Nyland Green (UGA commit)

Then Tennessee won’t be the choice.

Not really a fair criticism of the current staff. 2019 was their first full class. 2018 class is technically Pruitt’s and he made a lot of changes to it but had a very short amount of time to put it together.

This post isn’t meant to excuse the product on the field, only that we don’t know yet how many of the players this staff recruits will make it to the league.

Huh?

Reality?

I'm really confused... you're saying our coaches... what? HAVEN'T put guys in the league?

@jackcrevol said recruits want to get to the league with the exception of Green.

Pruitt and the staff have not shown the ability to develop the talent they have nor put them in the position to win.

His other two choices were Clemson or Georgia. They’ve put more kids in the NFL recently than we have.

If Green’s main goal is getting into the league, then Clemson and Georgia make the most sense.

Roger that. I'd argue that our staff as developed talent, just not here yet. But they've been under the eight ball this season. Won't re-hash that, it's been discussed to death, but I believe it.

Pruitt and Ansley are known as two of the absolute best defensive backs coaches in the country. Recruits know this. You can guffaw over our bad season all you want, but that is still a fact.

In their defense, they haven't been here long enough to see how many will go into the league. I seriously doubt Darrell Taylor gets drafted in the second with the previous staff still here.

my point is there are other circumstances at play that you or I am not privy too. Ive followed recruiting for 20 years. Not by any means am a professional. Not everyone is about W-L.

It seems like too many of our guys are out due to contact tracing. Not making excuses for the record this year but what are they doing in Knoxville? We can’t even play a basketball game. Are they re-enacting lady and the tramp eating spaghetti?

It's called recency bias. People can't see past what has affected them emotionally in the short term. Pruitt and Ansley have a better resume of DB success than almost any HC/DC combo in the country. That is not debatable. But due to recent struggles it makes sense that.....they forgot how to coach and can't develop DB's and prepare them for the NFL anymore 🙄

Facts. Period. It's simple.

I still can’t believe it. What in the world happened at half time at ga
It was definitely the turning point of the entire season...We really should have beaten them. We just needed decent QB play throughout. Alabama is the only team we've played thus far that I think we would've lost to regardless.

I went back and read about 30 pages of the RF Georgia game thread, I posted the page numbers in the RF football thread. I read from the 4th down goal line stand (at the end of the 2nd quarter), though half time, and then through the 3rd quarter. Well turns out VN was able to answer my question.....

The only question that's not been answered is why does JP continue to start/play him?
And "he gives us our best chance to win" is not an acceptable answer.
