'17 GA DT Aubrey Solomon (NCAA IS A FAIR ORGANIZATION)

These are college kids. Regular students can transfer schools whenever they want. Players should be able to as well. If they like where they are then they won’t leave.

Free agency is fine so long as the NCAA stops micromanaging scholarship count in the dumbest way imagineable

The difference is the schools are paying for them to go to college. Normal students unless on academic scholarship are not being paid to go to college. These players receive stipends for food, etc.

Like i said until the family tells us what the reason is how do we know they are being forthright?

Not necessarily even forthrightness...they just seem to think providing x and y and not getting the waiver is wrong. Providing the documentation was just a requirement, doesn't guarantee anything. Don't get what the argument is. Maybe if they were more clear what his case was.

I get the feeling, like Mars said in an ajc article, many kids are being told by new school that they'll get a waiver. A lot of unreasonable expectations being set in irder to sell kids to transfer somewhere.

Easiest way to fix the transfer problem is that you get that scholarship and counter back for that season and all transfers have to be conducted before the start of a season. That way the school who lost a player can recruit another player and it would have to be a transfer not a kid right out of HS.

Then put the limit that you only get one transfer that you can be immediately eligible for anything after that one transfer and you have to sit a year. Baring extenuating circumstances.

Creates more transfers. Keep that 25 hard cap or it will just get crazier.

I could understand if they were blocking transfers of former 5 star players to a conference rival, but they just blocked a kid from going to GT, a school in a different conference that they will VERY likely not play this year, or any time during the kid's career for that matter.

Uhh he's at GT. No transfer can be blocked any longer.

You misunderstood my post. I’m not saying you can’t have a 25 hard cap. Still keep that for incoming recruits out of high school.

However, if a school has a guy transfer from their program they should be able to fill that hole with a transfer of their own without a penalty.

On top of that an athlete should get one transfer with immediate eligibility after their first season. If they transfer a second time they should have to sit on the sidelines for a year.

That doesn’t effect the 25.

Agree on the first, not the second. The transfer rate would go crazy.

That would make the transfer totals skyrocket. That isn’t a good thing imo

Lil Jimmy needs to man up.

My brother-in-law has a friend that believes in Numerology. He's a nut case.

couple things here (exhales quickly).!

1- wth is a numerology?

2- will it get Aubrey Solomon decision here any quickler?

3- Is Jim Harbaugh the one in the relationship pointing, crying about getting cheated on? meanwhile he's had a side piece since day 1?

So you are in favor of free agency without sitting out. I can respect that but that isn’t the current rules we are playing by
I think a lot of people are coming around to one "freebie." I agree there should be a consequence, but I think one freebie is ok. After that, you should sit out a year.

Why, to you, are transfers not a good thing?

Imo the college experience is about stories like Marcus Tatum much more so than stories about Justin Fields. I think sticking things out is one of the lessons to be learned from athletics

But to be more specific free agency would erode the team atmosphere in most lockerooms. “Handlers” and coaches would be involved in year round recruiting off other colleges rosters which is bad for everyone including the product we see of play on Saturdays in the fall
