How do you think they got the 2 championships in 3 years? They overpaid for the guys that got them there. They will either continue to pony up, or they will revert back to who they've always been.

Winning and putting guys in the league attracts more higher caliber players lowering the price to get a guy bc you have more options…….

I am always amazed at the time, passion, and effort that VolDawgs put into defending all things uga. I guess it's all an unwavering dedication to complete objectivity, and a burning desire to 'set the record straight'!

There is a huge difference between acknowledging rivals' strengths and our own weaknesses, and going to great lengths to point them out at any opportunity.

I'm a fan. I don't care to expend energy defending our rivals, nor making sure everyone knows about their strengths and acknowledges our own weaknesses. The program pays coaches and administrators to be 'objective' and live in those spaces.

But hey, once again, if any perceived slight of uga or aggrandizement of UT vs uga makes you uncomfortable and creates in you a burning need to 'set the record straight' then go for it. I will, as I have said before, simply chuckle a bit, shake my head, and occasionally point it out, as I'm doing here. You'll notice I haven't said you can't do it, I'm just expressing amazement and amusement that you do.

Is what we do on here faintly resemble “reporting”? There’s been some posters, who are fans of other programs, rattle their gums about why Clemson, Bama, Florida, UGA et al are unobtainable levels and we should satisfy ourselves with making a bowl and winning records against Vandy and Tucky. Never found said prattling USEFUL and never mourned their “loss” when we didn’t buy their motor oil and they disappeared. There’s always another blowhard with an agenda.

You never explained how my assertions here are positive for UGA, but whatever. Still zero substance from you.

I don’t feel the need to rehash all the evidence that this is a slow play. It’s just a recruiting tactic. Any positive or negative connotations for either team are projections you’ve put on it.

You’ll find me in the Morgan thread telling folks it can’t be a miss if we don’t pursue.

Or in the Smith thread saying it’s the kind of battle we need to win for our goal.
