'18 GA LB JJ Peterson (Tennessee signee)

Probably wishing he’d signed with Bama now. At this point he’d have a new Dodge Charger and straight A’s on his report card

I guess thats the part CJP hasnt mastered at UT, yet. And no wonder his football cards arent selling on Ebay

There is still at least a month to get him in.

-he has until the summer to get his grades in line

-he has the whole summer to get his grades in line

-he has all of July to get his grades in line

*academics maybe instead of grades*

either way, its not a good trend for us.

And? What I said was true. Really he has until Add/Drop week of the fall semester. Until then, he still has a chance to get in. If he doesn't by then oh well. Certainly looks like a good player who could help our team so I hope he makes it but if he doesn't we'll move on. One player out of 85 probably doesn't make or break us. As long as he is still trying to get in I'll believe he can.

The issue is if he can’t get it done at home, in the summer, with no other obligations, how can you be hopeful he’ll handle college any better IF he makes it to school?

No way. He is the dreaded "must have" according to some.

This is all on the Peterson, if he don't get in it's nobody's fault but his. Having said that, I still am confident he will be here by the end of the month. GBO!!!!

What ever happened to “summer” school?! :)

Seems as if I remember all freshmen arrived at the end of July/first of August back 10 or 12 years ago?! I realize things have changed tho...

When a man steps into his dream/desire/calling, he won't allow anything to get in the way. Hometown boy to UT is a huge leap. If JJ makes it on campus, he'll be just fine. If not, he'll go Juco for a season, get stout, get the grades and we'll plug and play him in the 2019 lineup. He committed to Pruitt without setting foot on campus. He aint goin anywhere men.

that's really not how it works these days

Lol right...

Those study halls, tutors, advising, and mentorship from the folks at Thornton are a game changer. Once JJ gets to campus, Thornton will keep him on the up and up. Pruitt isn't having any of the tardiness or skipped classes either.

Between the grad students, tutors, advisors, and counselors, no student athlete should struggle at all with classes.

Idk what happened with Cordarelle other than maybe Dooley sold him on one semester's worth of exposure getting him to the NFL so he didn't even try.

GFW would know...

If he says that ain’t exactly how it works, I’d take his word over anyone.

The part about if he can handle it once he gets here has already been answered by others. The beginning is a bit of an assumption by you. How do you know he has no other obligations or that he did poorly? Most of whats been reported is that he has done very well lately but needs to do a little better to make up for past grades. And he still has time to do so and by all accounts is still working hard to do it. :good!:

Bingo. It's fascinating how well a student can do when surrounded by the best resources available. Joe Scogin is the best in the game.

CP knew he was 1 and done. Nothing outside of a court ordered mandate would've gotten him to study lol

some of kiffin's tutors might have. :boobies:

You lead with the “lol.” I assumed I missed the /bluefont. My bad, hombre.

No worries, mate! I understand why you took it that way with how I started.

Yeah, Joe was hired after I left. I've heard great things though. A lot of the counselors are top notch all the way. If Greig, Lynsey, Caitlin, and Brian are still there, that's all I need to know! They know what it takes to succeed as a student athlete while in college and afterwards. Thornton is a really top notch facility, and it doesn't hurt that EVERYTHING around there has gotten a great facelift... Music building, rock area, Tom Black track, Gibbs/Stokeley, Anderson, & even Volunteer Blvd. Miss that place.

Volnation never disappoints with new words. Now our players in roll.

I hope the new QB has pocket presents and can gift us some TD’s.

Dang what a bunch of Morans.

Lol i have to admit that I completely missed that. When you get old like me maybe you will hold up better. The point is still valid
