'18 GA LB JJ Peterson (Tennessee signee)

High school is about effort. maybe henry Worked hard to overcome that defenciency. Or maybe just easier to sneak things that long ago before all the SJW academic liberals

Dan Brooks figured out a way to get him into UT. They classified him as learning disabled and went from there.

Best way to do it. You'll be hard pressed to find a teacher give a student with a learning disability anything lower than a C.

Dexter Manley graduated from Oklahoma State and was functionally illiterate. I’m sure Bear Bryant learned to read before he graduated from Bama but he didn’t arrive in Tuscaloosa with that ability. Different times, I know but they still slip through the cracks.

This is all on the Peterson (AND Those Around Him) if he don't get in it's nobody's fault but his. Having said that, I still am confident he will be here by the end of the month. GBO!!!!

I fixed your post because he has been a highly anticipated recruit for awhile. His family, coaches, school administration bare some of this. Like I said at the beginning of his Sr year, he had little shot of being academically eligible. If ANY of the previous mentioned 3 pressed academics in his first 3 years, he wouldn’t be having to make a decision in the next couple weeks to keep trying or go the JuCo route. I’m glad he is putting in the effort now, I wish he did it all four years. I will say school isn’t as much a priority for some of these kids (and their homes) like we are accustomed to, and some do struggle. If his class retakes weren’t enough in June, the saddest part is that if there is a big jump, the eyebrow of the hypocritical NCAA will be raised. Pulling for him to succeed...

One of my friends had classes with Henry. He said that Henry always had people around him helping him.

Really? And you're basing this on what?

Being a teacher and talking to teachers... This is the best way not to get sued for "not following the 504 plan verbatim" because 98% of teachers follow the 504 plans but they just don't work

The ncaa made a rule a few years back that a kid could only take a small number of classes this late to try and qualify. With that said it's my guess he taking an 1 or 2 at the most classes likely online to replace poor grades. I have never known the NCAA to flag scores on a class just ACT scores. Now I know some online courses aren't accredated but I am sure we have checked that out

Not really. It's been around for a while but wasn't really required to be strictly followed until around 2005 or 2006. Now with so many student's parents getting a doctor to claim their child has some sort of mental disease it's getting extremely out of hand. But it gives lawmakers more power over schools so they enjoy it, and the students aren't stupid they know what they can get away with. Depending on the 504 some students can only be suspended 3-5 times in a school year. Unfortunately, the schools allow these students to run amuk, and impede on the other student's right to learn for fear of being sued.

Bingo. It's fascinating how well a student can do when surrounded by the best resources available. Joe Scogin is the best in the game.

CP knew he was 1 and done. Nothing outside of a court ordered mandate would've gotten him to study lol

I had a class with CP and he stopped coming to class after the NCSU game
