'20 GA OL Tate Ratledge (UGA commit)

I think the stupidity lies on the fact that people are taking shots at his dad for supporting his son’s decision. Everybody knows he is a huge vol fan and has been for a long time, so he took it off so everyone will know he is supporting his son. I do agree that it was over the top but it’s his son and he is probably super pumped about him going to college and playing football at a SEC high caliber school.

I just think disparaging the dad for supporting his son is ridiculous. He will probably tell you looking back on it, it might of been over the top. Just let the man be happy for his son and however that fleshes itself out then so be it.

I just think we forget that it’s reality sometimes and not just some virtual experience. I’m not saying any particular person on here is stupid by the way just that this is an overreaction.

Another case that relates back to Butch Jones, the Georgia offensive line coach is Sam Pittman and responsible for recruiting him to Georgia. Sam Pittman was the offensive line coach at UT and wanted to stay at UT...Jones let the best offensive line coach in the SEC go and brought in one of his own that turned out to be a failure. We need to hire Pittman away from Georgia.

Maybe, you can be ok with more than 1 team? Lots of parents have kids attend somewhere other than their alma mater. Some have 2 kids at rival schools. It's not that hard. Bet Archie didn't throw away his Ole Miss stuff.
You can support your child and still like your other team also.
I completely agree... and anyone that thinks he is throwing away his love for the Vols are overreacting. It was a show of love for his son and backing his son’s decision because of everyone knowing his love for the Vols... nothing more. I just think we have some keyboard warriors that get all bent out of shape because someone tore off their idol off the back of their truck.

Tried to. Didn't take.

He definitely didnt have to make a video of it or take photos, but all yall are crazy if you wouldnt switch allegiance if your son was playing for another SEC team. You dont have to abandon your team, but you know you're rooting for your son, if he was lucky enough to play for an SEC rival. (Now, one hopes a good dad would instill a love of the vols so deep he'd never want to play for another team, but you cant control these kids. Ask Tee, Ask Kevin Mays.

Disgraceful isn’t a bit of an overreaction.
Well I didn’t take it as anything other than click bait. And we all bit on it. Absolutely wasn’t disgraceful. So he took down Power T... meh. Our fan base is hyper sensitive to anything and the world knows it. Slight us in the least and Twitter ignites.

Of course if Jones had Sam Pittman, he might still be coaching here. Sam Pittman is to OL as Josh Dobbs was to masking CBJ inadequacies.
