'20 GA OL Tate Ratledge (UGA commit)

Should probably repeat that to adults too!

You can..but that was kinda the point.

Folks posting on both sides of this discussion, exactly like they did when it happened.
Curious to see if anyone from the family mentions all those that supported and defended them.
Or if the other side is the only one mentioned as "TN fans"

Funny how that always seems to work.

Except, according to Price, he does apparently.

Ok, let me try again.

His son, his truck, prob didn’t think degenerates would react the way they did for removing a frickin sticker.

I mean he removed a sticker. Did I miss the part where he threw it down, stomped on it and pissed on it? The reaction to this was absurd.

Hopefully it happens quickly so UF can replace him with Butch or Dooley before they get new jobs.

I mean, who wouldn't want an all-star cast of:

* Guy with multiple conference titles, SEC HC experience, ace recruiter and bona fide Saban whipping boy apprentice

* Guy with SEC pedigree and multiple years in the NFL as well as SEC coordinator experience

Florida needs to get those guys on staff immediately.

He removed our sticker.

Let's pretend he did leave UF. Just for discussion, who do you think they would go after? Would they make a push for Urban again? I just don't see a lot of home run coaches out there at the moment.

Not sure. But my guess would be someone not as good as Mullen at coaching but maybe better at recruiting.

We say that every year but at the end of the day.. they still get who they want.. I understand your point.. keep those relationships but there's a variety of ways to do so
They are a season or two away from reality. And when it sets in those home grown guys that should be the bulk of their roster will be at Auburn, Tennessee, GaTech, South Carolina.

probably not. but listening to AP this morning, the one thing i thought he'd touch and, he actually went the other way, was the issue about time.....and contact. acknowledgd that there's been little to no contact since he committed to UGA.

but, my retort would be we recruited the crap out of the kid, he's made visits, knows the staff, knows the recruits, probably a lot of the players....i mean, from a "get to know TN" standpoint, i can't imagine there's a lot left to learn..........

to me, this boils down to one thing for us....will he take the call and listen? if yes, then who knows. if no.......well....that kinda takes care of itself.

so probalby nothing to see here............til there is.
On the flip, you could play the limited contact as a positive. If this kid and our staff parted ways on good terms(post commitment) Pruitt could sell it as we wanted you badly but respected your decision(apparently that’s wildly popular amongst recruits now)wished you the best of luck and backed off.
My gut tells me he is still UGA bound but, it is recruiting and we all know how crazy that game is.
GBO!!

I have zero doubt some people went overboard in their reactions. But.... you have those folks in every fanbase.

I'm sorry, but I don't believe it's our fans that are that much different. Why tf our guys can't just pick another team and move along, instead of putting on some kind of show or trolling, blows my mind.
Too many get their kicks rubbing salt in the wounds but then act surprised by the reaction.
Three words:
Vol Twitter reaction.
GBO!!

When you're limited to 25, it's impossible to get all the best players from your state. The population alone dictates how many great players are available. In Texas, the population is well over 25 million and there's a ton of great football players here. I would venture to say that the top 100 player in Texas could be just as good as the best player in most states. I will never believe that there's only 25 5* players in the entire country.

That's an interesting concept - Your last sentence about there being "more than 25" 5 stars. I believe something similar. I would go as far as to say, talent nationwide varies fron year to year. To put in plainly, some years there are 10 "5 stars". Other years there maybe 50 in all actuality.

UGA is ranked 6th in recruiting right now. Which is great. If you look at there 2017 class, they had what I believe a respectable amount of In-State talent. But 2 years running now they haven't been able to do that. Is that by design? Or is Kirby rubbing local programs the wrong way? They do seem to keep losing the Big Games.

Look at LSU- who just stomped UGA- and their class composition. For the past 4 years. Its like 80 perecent of the top talent from Louisiana.

And look at ours so far this year. We have 6 of the top 15 in Tennessee committed to us. Which goes back to your point of the top guys from most states can play anywhere.
