Agree. Seems like every big time recruit we miss out on, the same excuses pop up. Oh well this one miss wont make or break the class. We werent recruiting him as hard. Wasnt high on our board anymore.

I think some people just dont want to face the fact that our staff, full of elite recruiters, are not pulling the elite guys like some thought they would.

We have to start winning. Simple.

We went 4-8 last year and have a coaching staff that a lot of recruits are wait-and-see on. Its going to get turned around, but its not happening overnight.

Ok. Let me complicate it by asking how we do that BEFORE the season? None of us know how this team performs under these new coaches. How can recruits pretend otherwise. Less a leap of faith with their futures if and when the teaching manifests on the field.

I don’t see these people screaming “no big deal” that you do. Maybe you’re just assuming that because you can’t hear the calm reasoning beyond the din of your own noise. Missing on Morris would be a downer...not a program killer. Good OL coaching gives future prospects something to want to be a part of...and you START with what you have. Only way is up. I’m not sure what alternative approach you’re presenting. :hmm:

Its all relative. And unfortunately this cliche is true, it's also a process.

These recruits like this staff. Most of them , a lot.

But they've never done what they're about to do on their own, at this level.

We don't have to be world beaters out the gate, they just need to put something on the field that can be trusted.

Do that, and dominoes probably fall fairly quickly. It's why I think 20 will probably be "that class" for this staff, and I'm not ready to give up on this one... yet....😂

Yea, Hard to beat Auburn for a recruit they really want. Their system of checks and balances are difficult to overcome. We don't have the systems in place to compete with them, imo.
