'19 GA OLB Roman Harrison (Tennessee signee)

Vandy's 4 year average was 2.8 and this class was a 3.2? Bama a 4.0. Big gap and we are closer to Vandy than Bama :(

A lot more crootin work to do for sure! We have to take it to the next level.

So, are you a Vandy fan now? I have a number of family members who went to Vandy and they are Tennessee fans now. They see the writing on the wall.

Would help if we have some defensive lineman that can free him up to make some plays....Him being a 3-4 edge rusher will help though. I like our chances with him going up against a tackle one on one for 4 years. He's going to be a tough match-up.
For the first few games, at least, I could see RH completely blowing the Tackle off the LOS. After that, there should be enough film on him to where teams have to start planning around him and the RB will probably start coming up to help. Harrison could possibly be our best linebacker out of the last two classes. That's saying a lot!

Darrel Taylor will have an amazing year because of Roman Harrison and Q Crouch.

Watch Harrison's tape during passing plays. He is almost NEVER blocked 1 on 1. When he is....he gets in the backfield so fast it looks like it was blown assignment.

It's crazy to me, that this kid can bench so much. He has long arms. During games he uses them very well to gain leverage.
So my point being; he will still produce regardless, AND he will help the rest of the d-frnt produce more because of the attention he will demand.

Is there a place where we can see a list of SEC score for this class?

My money is on this kid as the first Freshman we hear about first in fall camp.
Terrifying bump!

Not that I know of. Here's a few. Fwiw our current roster is a 3.1...

"In the SEC, Alabama's average PAI of 3.6 is top in the conference with Georgia right behind at 3.5. South Carolina and Vanderbilt were at the back end at 2.8 and 2.7 respectively, again purely based on kids that ran track or performed in a combine on the high school level."

OT. Is that Santorini in your picture?

I couldn't help myself. Everyone thinks the sky is falling. Seemed like a decent troll. And I really think this kid is day one ready. I'm killing two birds with one stone.

It's wide open for him to come in and make an impact from day one.

He certainly has the opportunity in front of him to get on the field day 1. Would be a great story if he balled out and was a freshman SEC AA.
I lost my **** getting excited about the season. Pruitt's statement about Fitz's product at SEC Media days should be getting everyone fired up. We aren't going to suck this year. I'm gonna say 8 wins with a bowl now. OLine is much bigger and stronger this year. That's reason for hope.

Could be good, but he's no Crouch. If Crouch stays healthy I think he plays significant snaps at ILB/OLB this year and eventually All American ILB.

Crouch has Butuli and Reid in front of him. Harrison doesn't have the same number of bodies in front of him. AJ Johnson has been the only Freshman to start at ILB in our entire history. I'm not saying Crouch won't play, he just has a tougher road in front of him as far as established players are concerned.

DKJR started like 9 games as a freshman at ILB

im pretty sure i remember they moved crouch outside to get him on the field faster? he'll likely move back inside as he gets older.

I hope they do get him on the field faster, and I hope it's not due to injuries, and just getting the best 4 lbs on the field.

He's one of the more intriguing prospects, considering he played NT in high school. We haven't really seen him play LB. He's a beast, physically, so I think it'll all come down to if and when the mental part clicks for him.

Yup, playing NT is why he was so overlooked by most. Especially the so called recruiting services. Another win with evaluations from our staff.
