Agreed. Sounds like UGA is playing catch up. They probably initially thought they would easily lock him up.

Obviously I could be wrong but it seems like his confidence isn’t as high as it was and when Tennessee needs to make up ground Hubbs, Price, etc put our staff calls almost every day.

I’m sure there are teams out there that feel good about certain guys when the start recruiting. When they get gut punched it’s a shock and it seems more like Rusty is dancing around the truth to keep memberships up.

i tend to agree. the other thing though that still has to be in play is when/if these guys can go on visits. several of these kids haven't been to TN on an OV. a few have never visited at all. so it's still important to get them on campus. especially if they can make it on UOV's while other prospects are in town.

cause i'd be hard pressed to believe that several of these kids won't visit other programs once they're able to.....

i don't have any delusions here. if campus visits come back in to play, several are gonna go on them.

but again, that goes both ways.....i would be surprised ifw e didn't get a visit or two from some committed prospects along the way too.

just enjoying the ride. hopefully we can get things somewhat back to normal relatively soon......

I’m not completely naive I understand kids will take OVs and enjoy themselves. Tennessee still could gain ground on guys that they haven’t made a ton of ground on we just won’t know until things get back to normal. I certainly hope they do because Game Day at Tennessee will reassure guys that they made the right decision.

oh, i wasn't implying that you were. just putting it out there. so much gets made of the notion that our commits are gonna visit elsewhere....there's not a lot about them actually visiting here, or other committed players visiting here. so i was just point it out.

i tend to agree with you, it seems teh core of this class is pretty tight and seems bought in. counting on that to be the case throughout the recruiting process......

ap asked him about it in the commmittment video. MC said they know each other, played ball as kids together, but haven't stayed real close as they got older. but that he's definilty gonna hit him up about coming to TN.

they def know each other...not sure it's like they're super closer or anything...not like has been intimated with Mims and Brown having a pretty tight friendship...
