He's a guy that's risen quickly and has had near zero setbacks (2 years at uga the longest drought without being a part of a title). I think he is very used to winning and sometimes I wonder if he overestimates his own teams because of that. He is used to handling 1 position or side of the ball and at fsu and bama the other parts took care of themselves and then some. Now he's without those talent advantages across the board.I’d like to know how Jeremy Pruitt feels about the state of the program. He hasn’t beaten UGA, FLA, or AL since he’s been here. Although, he did beat Miss St. and Auburn.
TN always is top 10 classes tho, even Doolittle who didn’t couldn’t recruit a hooker had a top 10. We need top 5 like Fulmer brought year after year.
Unfortunately it wasn't a one time thing, 99 and 95 for UGA were killing us inside the whole game. We were never going to get lateral with all that speed them have, but I was really disappointed we couldn't run behind Trey and Cade (when he played guard, he was a disaster at tackle).I think Trey was off balance because he got is feet tangled by a blocker next or behind him if you look closely. I wish I could slow down the video.
Pretty sure you can find a play somewhere in that game that Trey knocked somebody on their ass...it happens.Just one play. That was my point, every guy has a bad game, Morris is still very talented and will play on Sunday’s. Mays took the big L Saturday, he gave up 3 sacks and 3 penalties by himself,
Mays being rusty and Kennedy being Kennedy, Wright and Morris being young guys who got less than half a camp, and our TEs blocking for isht, and most of all that freaky line shifting crap that nobody seemed to know was coming all doomed us to that performance.Just one play. That was my point, every guy has a bad game, Morris is still very talented and will play on Sunday’s. Mays took the big L Saturday, he gave up 3 sacks and 3 penalties by himself,
He is doing it the right way...and on most things he seems to try and learn from mistakes...that is a valuable commodity to have. He's a guy that's risen quickly and has had near zero setbacks (2 years at uga the longest drought without being a part of a title). Overall, I'd guess he is disappointed it isn't moving faster. His expectations are as high as anyone. He'll never tout 8 wins and 3 straight bowl games. He's as tired of losing as fans are and that will endear him a good long while here imo. He'll do whatever it takes.
Video showed the truth
Our oline got bullied the whole game, got their asses kicked. Those ass kickings will continue until we land more elite players or players are better developed.
Tennessee's last 4 recruiting classes on the 247 composite were ranked:We have elite players - its a bunch of 4 and 5 stars. Thats the frustrating part - it has to be coaching, the talent is there.
You all are silly if y’all don’t see the improvement... Butch Jones would’ve lost 50-0 to this UGA team we were up at half... we have to get better at sustaining to win these big ones but we are getting close it’s good for us to get beat the 2nd half like that it shows the players what they gotta do to really improve... and if it’s one thing we know with Pruitt is that they are going to work hard and improve no matter what I love the culture and character he is building... we will be elite under Pruitt... good luck to mims I hope we get him if not oh well we still headed in the right directionWe have elite players - its a bunch of 4 and 5 stars.
