'25 GA OT Josh Petty (Georgia Tech commit)

Agree. But he won’t be nearly big enough to start at Guard as a true freshman either.

He’s likely the backup LT as a freshman, Heard will likely break out and leave early for the NFL, then Sanders starts at LT as a sophomore in 2026.
I totally agree with you. Heard and Nico are both redshirt freshman and learning on the job. Remember what the Vol D did to Will Campbell and the LSU O-Line in Baton Rouge 2 years ago when he and the other tackle were freshmen. Campbell is now projected to be a top 10 pick in the spring. Playing OT is one of the hardest positions to play in the SEC, and it takes skill, strength and time to perfect your craft as best you can. I think Heard will be a 1st round pick when it is his time.

but, but

almost everyone on this board says they're not good.

wow,

the future NFL product is gonna be really diluted, LOL

I don’t see Larry Johnson getting kicked to the curb in favor of Sanders next season. Sanders is objectively more talented but ‘25 will be Larry’s third season out of college and will be 6’7 and trimmed down to a slim 340 by then. We don’t need Sanders next season, but he could get his feet wet. Which is exactly what every freshman SHOULD be allowed to do if the proper depth is there
Has Larry gotten snaps on offense this year? Honest question as I don’t recall if he has or hasn’t.

He doesn't have the feet to play LT at a high level in the SEC.

Probably not LT, but as he’s lost weight, his feet have improved and he does have the ability to play RT in the SEC. Ideally, Perry or Warren wins that job next year, but LJ3 will be in the mix and provide quality depth if he doesn’t win the job.

He was a project when they signed him. He has improved and will continue to do so.

I think he could be a solid RT.

Saw a guy on the sideline tonight that I had to search the roster for because he’s one of the best looking specimens on the team. #60 Jeremias Heard. I have a hard time thinking that guy can’t play ball. He will make Sanders earn it at LT when he’s ready and could push for the starting job at RT next season. I’ve seen no film but he’s built like a freak athlete and I’m not just saying he’s tall. He looks athletic
