Duuuu JG was sacked a whopping 3 more times than Herbert (technically, Oregon had 3 fewer than UT...can't break it down which qb took how many. I know Chryst took a few,), YET Oregon converted rushing 3rd downs at 45%! vs our 28%...no comparison really.
Your last statement...you're just trying hard avoid the point now. But just to appease your hypothetical...12 TDs in 1 game would be more impressive than 29 TDs in a season. That is the argument of rate, pace, efficiency, etc, to the extreme. Reality is much less extreme, but the same point. It is about production per attempts and focusing on what the player we are critiquing can control, not that which he can't control. Not blindly looking at total stats. Otherwise Carmelo Anthony would still be a great shooter, when really he just shoots a lot.
Why does everyone have to be a smartass to me??
I'm sitting here just debating how the team that scores more per game wins.
No one's avoiding anything. You avoided my analogy with the money. Whatever.
5-7 sucks. And 12tds in the whole damn season was a part of that. He's the QB!! Come on...
If he had thrown 29 TDS scattered throughout the season -Like Herbert- then
our whole season is different. BETTER.
We beat SC. We maybe beat Candy too. That's 7-5. Go to a bowl 8-5 possible.
You win man.

Lol. Yeah now you’ve given away you’re FOS or have an agenda.I’m not sure I agree with the narrative of HB having a bad O line. You dont get that highly ranked (13) as a team with a bad o line in the state of Georgia. Can’t convince me of that. I watched the game posted and did see a few occasions of missed blocks but overall it looked like “decent” protection against a blitz heavy d.
We beat SC if Drew Richmond doesn’t hold on a touchdown or false start, etc. I think he did both of those things I for sure know he cost us a touchdown.
Anyways....
To get this thread back on track I really hope HB pulls his teammates to UT. That would be awesome.
