If Pruitt got the #2 QB in the nation to blueshirt there’s no question we’re back.
Not risky at all. He provides competition at QB. If he's the best QB, then he plays. If not, then he probably redshirts. He was never going to take a scholarship this year, so I'm not sure if that's how we should look at it.
It's pretty risky for the football team next year (is he physically, mentally mature enough to handle it), but I'm down with doing whatever you can to get this kid on campus.
-247Also, in the 2020 class, four-star quarterback Harrison Bailey certainly could be impacted by the news. Bailey is planning to announce his decision on Thursday, and with Michigan and Tennessee being the favorites to land him, this development certainly could throw a wrench into his plans. We’ve been led to believe Bailey basically had made a decision by yesterday, but if he was leaning toward Tennessee, does this change anything? We’ll have to wait and see about that. Bailey obviously isn’t talking much these days and hasn’t commented at all leading up to his decision, but we’re still looking into all of that.
We took 3 in 2015, technically. Maurer has flirted recently with UCF. He would have options if we moved on, which I doubt we will because TT is a looooongshot.3 QBs in a class though? I agree, think TT is Bama all the way, but why waste the time if Bailey is on the hook? Dropping Maurer this late would be an awful look.
