I don't fully understand the Auburn shine right now. They finished 6-6, looked ugly in some of their games, have a coach that has been looking to bolt back to the West Coast at the first opportunity that comes his way, and are losing a ton of talent to the transfer portal.
Nothing about Auburn spells "upward trajectory" right now. If I actually gambled, I'd probably but good money on Harsin being gone within the next 2 years. He doesn't fit there.
The fact that he LEFT coupled with the instability with offensive coaches would make it a difficult sell for us…can’t imagine it’s any more enticing on their side.Wonder if the report of Tank going in the portal helped them out. Seems odd that with all the negative vibes that he would lean that way, but I have learned to not use logic in this area.
This is a very key win for us on the recruiting trail I think. Losing Hayden to OSU and James to GA will seem bigger if we don't add him to Sampson in our RB class. I already fear a smaller ESD class will bring out the not so faithful rants. I am kind of guessing 20 to 22 is the target number, saving more for the transfer pool that I expect to explode after the bowls. Don't know how many of our current and new portal guys will earn us a replacement by getting a new home in a D1 school while difference makers are still on the market.
Well, to be fair he’s the exact same size (give or take an inch) as Small and Wright. Really hoping Whitehead can continue to develop, has the size and could be a serious thumperDamn near a must get imo. We have to start recruiting bigger backs. Small and Wright are not big enough to continually move the pile. I think this kid does very well here if we can land him.
He has to fill out his legs. This kid will be 215 as a freshman. I also don't buy small and Wright are above 200. This kid weighed 207 a couple weeks ago.Well, to be fair he’s the exact same size (give or take an inch) as Small and Wright. Williams looks like all those UGA running backs that have destroyed us and others over the last decade or so.Whitehead is definitely a bigger back but is not fast enough. Williams can be that bigger back but also have some speed as well. Whitehead needs to live to PB personally.
